Hot tub was disgusting. Contacted management who sent someone 2 days later. It was scrubbed with the sponge left behind and still smelled terrible.
No curtain in the room facing the street. Asked for assistance, was told it would be fixed if possible. It was not fixed.
Got a message from the management after midnight.

The check in process was very simple and the house was great. Upon arrival, there were a few cleanliness issues and we sent photos to the property manager right away. There was a razor left by a previous guest on a stool, a dress left on the deck, and the hot tub was green. Otherwise, we could tell the property had been cleaned. Our biggest issue is that the listing shows photos of the hot tub, which is why we chose this particular property, but upon arrival we were told it doesn’t work and can’t be fixed during our stay. This was really disappointing for our group. Overall, I would stay at this property again if the hot tub was working as advertised.

Not the cleanest or the dirtiest but it was a bit gross to find pee stains under the sheet. Pulled off the bedding when leaving and found some nice pee spots on the pad.

House was very neat and clean. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cooking utensils. We were disappointed the hot tub was not working, but we were refunded for this. There is no washer and dryer available in the house. We were surprised by this as any other house we have rented has had a washer and dryer, and we wrongly assumed this one would as well.

Wonderful 3 story home with nice amenities. Beach just a short walk away. Enclosed deck was amazing for our toddlers. A little smaller than the pictures make it look but we still had no issues hanging out in the living room/enough seating. Should have brought baby gates to block the toddlers into the living/dining room. They had a lot of great touches (paper plates, plastic cups/cups, outlet plugins all over the house, comfortable furniture, nice updated bathrooms/bath to wash off sandy toddlers, nice amount of dishes/cooking supplies... And so on! Was lovely!

This home was perfect for my group. The location was perfect. I wish the hot tub work properly and the BBQ grill was rusted out other than it was a great experience

We were notified 5 days prior to our trip that the washer and driver would not be available to us and of course no other homes available. We were never really given a good answer, but apparently there was some renovation which we believe was known long before our stay. There were 9 of us with 3 children under 6. We needed a washer and dryer with all of the trips to the beach, wet clothes and wet towels. The heating and air conditioning units did not work and/or blew cold air constantly even when not wanted. There were several broken items i.e. dishwasher problems, sliding glass door difficult to open and close, and hot tub cover broken and very hard to maneuver on and off. The location was great and this probably would not have been such a problematic stay if we had been notified earlier so that other arrangements could have been made and communications with Meredith Lodging would have been more timely and honest. This was not our first stay on the coast, but our last with Meredith Lodging!

We were on coast and attending funeral so a dryer at the very least would of been nice as we had drove from Colorado out to Oregon with wrinkled luggage clothes. This was one of the reasons we decided to pay $$$ for a house. House wasn't ready when we checked in, housekeeper was still cleaning until 6 pm and house was supposed to be ready at 5 pm. Hot tub wasn't heated and took 24 hours until the following day to heat up. Perks: beautiful view and house had a nice layout with wrap around deck.

Great Family Stay
This home was perfect for our weekend family trip. There was plenty of space for our group of 10 to spread out and we loved the large deck! The trail down to the beach is a very close walk and it's a quick drive to grocery stores, the casino and restaurants. There were a few minor issues like the hot tub not being very warm (with a broken lock) and the TV not working downstairs. Overall, we didn't mind those things and appreciated the location and cleanliness of the home.

Perfect getaway to the beach
My family of 6 stayed here this summer. Location was great with a great view of the ocean. Plenty of space with decent amenities. Perfect for a getaway to the beach!

For example: no bath tub, no dining table to seat all of us in one place, and a very small living room. The décor was pleasant with very nice bedroom linens. The children's room was very cute. The hot tub was an extra treat. However for our 9 people group this house seemed a little cramped.

She was very excited based on the pics of the upstairs room, that the bed was in the area surrounded by windows, so we could wake up to a view. It was not. The house had two bbq's on the porch, but one was so rusty it would not have been safe to cook on, while the other one did not work. We did not discover this until after we bought steaks and seafood to grill for dinner. Last, we were quite disapointed that after we were charged a $120 cleaning fee, we still had to strip all the used beds and take all dirty laundry down stairs and start our first load of laundry. I feel that if I am going to spend $120 on cleaning, I should not be doing my own laundry. I could have taken her to a nice hotel and paid less, and gotten more. We were very disapointed in our stay. When I emailed management about our concerns, they ignored my concerns. We will not ever be using this beach rental sevice again.

Girls weekend
We just had a girls weekend with 6 women. We had a lovely time. The house was very clean and the layout was nice. The kitchen was a tad small but definitely doable. The house has the most amazing view! Also, very comfortable beds.
I do wish there were spare blankets in the living room to curl up with though.
We did have a problem with the hot tub. It was ice cold when we checked in. I called management and they very quickly sent someone out to get the hot tub running again. It never got hot enough for us to get in while we got there, which was unfortunate. But the staff who helped me was very helpful and reimbursed us a portion for the inconvenience. I wish it could’ve been checked by a cleaning crew or something before check in. Maybe next time!
I’d definitely recommend La Mer and would stay here again. Thank you!

Beach House Rental 8 '19
Our family of 9 enjoyed our stay at this beach house for 5 days in Aug. The sleeping accommodations were good overall and we enjoyed the deck to sit out on. The view of the ocean was somewhat obstructed by the tall house across the street but had a good view looking south. We liked the neighborhood and good access to the beach.
A few dislikes: the small kitchen, the spiral stairs to the upstairs bedroom and the downstairs bathroom with a very small sink. The downstairs hallway was also very dark and laundry room very cluttered with other toys/beach items, etc.
We would recommend it for those who want a more casual type of beach home.

Wonderful ocean views
La mer was a lovely house with plenty of space for the whole family. We enjoyed the view of the crashing waves as we read on the sofas. We slept comfortably in the beds. We cooked healthy food in the kitchen and played games at the table. It was a wonderful vacation for the whole family.

Great location!
This was the perfect spot! Beautiful views and easy beach access. There is also a ton of baby stuff (high chair, play pad, toys, etc). Layout was a little odd but it worked out perfectly!! Would stay here again! Loved it!!
