Rilassati sul portico posteriore guardando la fauna selvatica e le barche sul bellissimo lato della baia o dalla parte anteriore della casa guardando e ascoltando le onde del Golfo del Messico. A pochi passi dalla spiaggia del Sound e dal Golfo. Puoi kayak nel suono proprio dietro la casa. Una pista ciclabile va dal West End attraverso la città. Puoi portare le tue biciclette o noleggiarne una lungo la strada. Very comfortable, great kitchen and laundry facilities. Owners very good at communicating. There are 5 tvs and a DVD player in the family room, but if you want to use your streaming services bring a fire stick or a similar device. The wifi does support that- no annoying buffering or connection problems.Bay access great, beach access not quite as easy but doable. Would recommend 👍

We had an absolutely wonderful time at the beach this week! The weather was incredible, and the home is so perfectly located for the perfect breeze between the gulf and the bay. It truly brings the feel of the island into the home. The beds are so comfortable and the house is very well furnished to suit our needs. Sitting on the front porch and enjoying the dolphins in the gulf is a perfect way to start your morning. Sitting on the back deck watching the sunset is a perfect way to end a day on the island. We have already booked our return trip in April 2024!

The property was clean, had all the necessary amenities, and in a perfect location. It’s quaint, quiet, and we loved having access to the bay, ocean, and west end beach. My boys also enjoyed taking the kayaks out in the bay.

This is a beautiful and well maintained home on the bay side in walking distance to west end beach. The home had all the amenities needed available for your stay. Towels, bed linens, hand soap and cleaning supplies were available though we did bring our own. Cookware and utensils were on hand. We made use of the crock pot and made a delicious shrimp and grits. We also utilized the charcoal grill as well as the beautiful sitting area under the house. Our fur baby felt like home here. Thank you so much for allowing us a respite from work life in your little paradise!

We took our 3 kids (4, 2 and 4mo) along with our friends and their teenage daughter down for a trip. The boys wanted to fish, the girls wanted to tan and enjoy the beach, the kids wanted to play and see some cool marine life. Boy did this serve on all accounts! The location was great for beach access to both sides, the property was clean, and the layout of the house served perfectly for 2 families. Everyone had their own space but still plenty of space for everyone to hang together as well. Lots of games and sand toys we didn’t plan for but were happy to see available upon arrival, so we didn’t miss out on anything. Highly recommend!

Our family absolutely loves the trip. The location is great. We walked across the street to enjoy the ocean and when we wanted calmer water, we went behind the house. Everything was great. We would love to do it again. Communication back and forth was excellent and very prompt. Incredible trip.

This house albeit looks small from the outside, is a great size on the inside. I was pleasantly surprised by the space. The property is extremely clean, decks are a little on the small side. No streaming services as the tb needed an update, but would not connect to the WiFi to connect. Beach chairs are camping chairs, so suggest if you want true beach chairs, bring your own. Ice maker would get clogged if you switched from water to ice, but easily fixed if you pull the ice out of the door. Towels are a little on the thinner side. Overall for the price, was a great find.

This place is truly a hidden gem. The pictures do not do it justice as to how close the ocean and the bay actaully are. We have stayed in beach homes before and this one was the most fully furnished and equipped home we ever stayed in. The place was exceptionally clean, also. If you are looking for a quiet beach town and a beach house to stay in, this one is it!

We liked this location. all is calming and relaxing. We tried to rent for next year but already taken. so we went with another home in the area. Plenty of room for all 8 of us. House was in good clean shape as it should be . Bring your own knife sharpener. Knifes are dull. But all else it is a good place to be

The Czech Mate was the same as we left it and remembered from last year. Very clean and well equipped for any of your needs at the beach or in the kitchen.

Can't say enough great things about this property! I'd say it's better than advertised. From cleanliness to decor to supplies in the kitchen, the house was great. As we brought our dogs, the gates on the porches were ingenious and so perfect. Location is at the end of the island, which in my opinion has the best views. Watching the tending of the sustainable oyster beds in the bay was really cool. We saw dolphins while kayaking in the bay, birds, crabs, sooo many dragonflies and butterflies, and even a gecko on the porch. We enjoyed morning sunshine in the front of the house, and afternoons in the back. While there is truth to another reviewer saying you can't connect to Netflix or prime, we avoided this problem by bringing a laptop and hdmi cable, and had no issues, so I'd advise that to others if you plan to end your evening with a show or movie. If you like quiet, nature, and are happy to be away from the hustle and bustle, this is an amazing place to stay.
We had an issue with the clothes dryer while we were there (turns out vent was just clogged with sand from the season of visitors and it shut off for safety) but Molly was responsive and got us in touch with the repairman so we could plan to be at the house. If something unexpected had to happen, it went about as smoothly as you could have asked for.
P.S. Got married on West End beach while we were there!! It turned out as beautiful as we hoped and planned. We definitely had some big wind from Hurricance Ian hitting FL, but that didn't get us down; we embraced mother nature, and watching the kite surfers that came out as a result was awesome! I even think they added some cool color to the background of some of our photos.

We loved having direct beach and bay access. The kayaks were awesome too! The only advice I would give is that it needs a little bigger grill and the grass needs trimmed around the front for better access. We would definitely book this property again.

This house was an outstanding experience for our family, the house was spacious and open an easy walk to the Bayside beach or short walk to the Gulfside beach or West End Public beach (which was really nice in the early morning everyone loved walking in the sand and surf collecting sea shells). The only thing I wish was different was that the internet would connect to the smatt TV so you have more options to watch at night and during stormy times than just basic television channels.

There was a huge selection of DVD’s and games to keep everyone occupied when we weren’t at the beach. Our group all preferred to gulf side, the sound/bay had a lot of rocks in the water but the calmness of the water was great for the little kids. We would definitely stay here again!

The Czech Mate made our stay fun, easy and relaxing. It had everything we needed. The kayaks were a huge hit. Our group all preferred to gulf side, the sound/bay had a lot of rocks in the water but the calmness of the water was great for the little kids. We would definitely stay here again!
