Great open space, there were 17 of us that stayed and there was plenty of room! We didn't feel cramped at all. Kitchen was well stocked with spices, cooking utensils, pots and pans. Bathrooms didn't have hand soap, so make sure to bring your own! We stayed during the Christmas wind storm and had no power the first night. The owner was VERY responsive and helpful to make sure we had what we needed. The view is beautiful which is an added bonus. Will definitely consider staying again.

This house was perfect for our large family gathering. We were able to have a lot of people in the downstairs without being crowded. Everything was clean and in good condition. One small thing I would recommend is to make it a little clearer on the listing about the linens not being available. But overall our stay was excellent and I would highly recommend booking this space.

Deck was great and views were amazing.

Great place with 6 bedrooms, large eating area, comfortable living area and fully equipped kitchen. The host is very easy to work with and communicates quickly. The house is right on the lake with beautiful lawn and dock and fire pit and outside deck. Comfortably housed the 12 of us.

Great stay

If you are looking for space for a large group, this is perfect. Plenty of rooms for everyone to sleep. Large open living space with big kitchen and plenty of seating. NOTE:

the house and grounds were spacious and well laid out. we flew in from california and it was an ordeal purchasing sheets' pillowcases and towels for six rooms right after arriving. the first few days were very hot and air conditioning would have been a plus. My siblings rented other homes in N Hero and Alburgh with water craft and swimmable beaches so that's where we spent days. One evening the family came over and watched the sunset from our firepit which was very nice. Some in our party considered this the nicest of the four rentals, especially for entertaining large groups. My party of 9 would have preferred a place with AC sheets towels small watercraft swimmable beach and power boat friendly location.

The house, deck and yard was great!! The lake was pretty weedy, but we still enjoyed ourselves.

It can be difficult to find places for big families to stay especially with a dog. We loved this house because it was big enough to fit us all comfortably. Not only was the house beautiful and spacious, there were beautiful lake views, a nice dock for fishing, and a lot of space to swim. We've been here multiple times and highly recommend checking it out.

It was a fantastic spot for our group (8 adults and 4 kids). The bedroom set up was ideal, and the main floor was laid out perfectly so we never felt cramped.

House had everything we needed for an enjoyable weekend.

Have been coming to Pelot Bay Lodge for several years on an annual fishing trip with friends. Great location and super convenient with boat launch on premises and dock. House and deck are perfect for our group of fishermen and we always enjoy our stay!!!

Clean, comfortable, spacious house right on the water. Perfect for ice fishing.

We like the open floor plan with sleeping in the upper floor. We mostly relax and enjoy the fireplace. 2 of the guys like to fish but without much luck this year. Hoping to return next winter.

Great location. I didn't read the description carefully and showed up without towels or sheets. The owner was very gracious and had his housekeeper come to the location and open the locked linen cabinet for us. You do need to bring laundry soap, dish soap, garbage bags. There are plenty of spices and coffee but you will need everything else for cooking. There was plenty of wood cut for the fireplace., internet access and TV. We will definitely be back and it was great to be able to accommodate the whole family is such a warm welcoming house.

We prepared a meal and hosted a family gathering of 22 for Thanksgiving. The space was perfect for holding that many people of all ages!

Our stay in North Hero was very enjoyable. The town is very quaint - mainly rural with local produce available. The house and grounds were exactly as described - very pleasant area as well. The owner was very responsive with regard to issues (which were minor). e.g., the ice maker didn't work when we arrived, but just needed to be reset - requiring a push of a button. The furniture was comfortable and inviting and the kitchen was well equipped. It is a perfect retreat for a group.

This North Hero property wonderfully accommodated our three-generation family as we spent a whole week’s vacation together for the first time since before the pandemic. There were eleven of us — twelve if you count the dog — and it was great to have beds enough for all of us. The house was very comfortable. The main floor's layout worked well for us, great for indoor games, puzzles, reading, and knitting. The open kitchen, the dining table area, and the living room were perfect for our needs. When we first arrived, we noticed a few issues inside and outside the house that needed addressing. Roger came right over to check it out and fixed what he could." The two large refrigerators were a great idea, and the kitchen afforded us plenty of space for cooking. The deck was big, with plenty of chairs and two nice tables that we pushed together for eating outside. Some umbrellas for shade on the deck could be nice since the sun could be quite intense some days. The sunsets were truly spectacular. Then down by the Gazebo was a fantastic fire pit that we used after dinner almost every evening. We had brought a couple of canoes, a paddleboard, and some inflatable floats with us and so much time was spent on the lovely and usually very calm and sheltered water of Pelots Bay. The dock was great and the water was pleasant for swimming although much of the bottom was silty and weedy. (Some of us had beach shoes, which made it easier to get in.) The ceiling fans are great, but more floor or table fans would be welcome when it is really hot. Another recreation was playing lawn games on the spacious side yard which was flat enough to play. (Kubb being our favorite.) We were there at the end of the summer and found that the house would benefit from a good deep cleaning. All and all, it was a great place.
