Otty Lake Retreat - near Perth, ON
ARTIST RETREAT - OTTY LAKE, a 15 minuti dal centro storico di Perth, nell'Ontario. Artista-progettato casa / casa con due camere da letto a sbalzo questo bellissimo lago sorgivi, esposto a sud. Essere circondati da oggetti d'arte, molti dei quali sono prodotti dal proprietario. Proiettato in veranda fuori la camera matrimoniale.
Accesso in inverno - 2 km di strada privata. Raccomandato da AWD
The Cottage è stato progettato nel 1983 dall'attuale proprietario, l'artista Gregori Robinson. Gregori è meglio conosciuto per il suo lavoro su commissione in Stained Glass and Sculpture.

Gregory is an amazing host and human being. Super kind and down to earth. The cottage is fantastic, a charming rustic vibe with out of this world views. I particularly enjoyed the second patio from the master bedroom as it was netted off and perfect for my cats to hang out in while also with me. All windows and views from the cottage even from the washroom point to the lake! I felt like I was in an art museum as the cottage decor is meticulously planed and I honestly can’t believe how lucky we were to find this gem of a cottage. Thanks Gregory, really appreciate all your cottage had to offer for our long weekend getaway. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

The host welcomed us when we arrived. The place was very cozy - a good place to get away if you’re looking for an unplugged retreat.

Rented for 5 days over Labour Day weekend.
Greg met us and walked us through the property. We had access to the main level and the upper loft. Downstairs where Greg’s studio is located was understandably off limits.
The property was unclean and lacked some of the basic essentials.. Kitchen utensils were sparse. Dishes/cups were mix mismatched some chipped.Serving dishes were dirty. No garbage bags. Charcoal BBQ was unexpected.
Safety concerns including no smoke detector, railing off the living area was low and unstable.Outside terrain was very uneven , not suitable for children or older adults. Broken chair and old tire waiting to go to the dump as you walked onto the property. No picnic table or ability to eat outside. Use of a canoe was great. Kayak on the property was off limits.
Bedding and towels were very old and faded and miss matched.. Toilets were unclean..
Host was attentive but was nervous about activity on the property and noise.
This property was likely stunning in its day but tired needing maintenance.
I spoke to Greg about everything. I have listed above.
The rental price has increased but would require upgrades to warrant the increase
