The location and view is perfect. I love the covered deck off the kitchen. We had all of our meals out there and spent the evening talking and looking at the stars. There was plenty of room for all six of us to spread out and have our own spaces and also enjoy time together on the back deck watching the boats go by. I would definitely book this home again.

Grandparents enjoyed spoiling son, daughter-in-law and 5 grandchildren with a weekend at Smith Mountain Lake. Great weather, boating and lake house on the water.

Very well cared for old farmhouse. We only ended up staying one night due to illness in the family. Boats were loud and constant but we got used to them. Host was strangely stingy with supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, etc. Kitchen was very well stocked for cooking.

2nd stay here, love the front porch, back porch, large dock is great for hanging out! Kitchen needs a few more pieces of silverware and bowls for serving, but another great stay! The water is perfect!

We had 4 couples stay at the Farm house for a few days. Everything was clean when we arrived! Beds are comfy and there’s lots of room in the house. Of course the best is outside! Great deck with a wonderful lake view is perfect for all times of the day, but especially coffee in the morning and grilling dinner in the evening. We really enjoyed fires in the pit down at the lake and really appreciate that there are no long steps to get to the dock. There’s still a hill of course, but it’s not bad compared to some of the stairs other houses have on SML. We will definitely come back again!

Great property with perfect views and lots of lake activity. Easy drives to grocery store and Bridgewater area. Quiet at night and plenty of outdoor room to play and relax. Keeping on the favorites list!

Perfect location to relax with our kids and grandkids—swimming, fishing, and campfires all in the front yard. Plenty of room in the farmhouse for big family dinners and spacious bedrooms for sleeping. We’ll definitely try to come back!

This house was really good we had a group of 7 boys it was a nice quiet break for the weekend the boat dock was really nice to fish off of and we docked our Supra and bass tracker there definitely bring bumpers for the dock because the water gets a bit choppy but other than that very nice house placement is perfect far enough from the marinas it’s quiet but it’s a short boat ride to the bars the house was clean and very comfortable highly recommended thank you all

Very clean. A feel of Grandmas place bc of its age. But has all updates. Foosball was a blast! Beautiful spot on the lake. It rained our entire stay but we were cozy inside and the kids ran around the house. A natural kid run bc of the arrangement of the tooms. :) Host was very quick to respond to any questions.
Over all, highly recommended.

We recently had our family stay at this lovely property and we all had a great time! The listing is accurate and the house clean! Even some additional upgrades not listed. Spacious enough for all 10 of us, we loved the front porch and back covered porch! The picnic table and large dock were wonderful for gathering! The hill down to the dock is gentle, but still...you want to make sure you don't forget anything so as not to keep running up and down!
Only downsides were the beds upstairs were not very comfortable (and really, there should be at LEAST a queen bed in all the rooms, the double was just SO bed) and down at the dock, the cleats need to be addressed as one was not attached.

Peaceful, beautiful lake house
If you are looking for a place to get away on the lake, this is a great spot! We loved the covered porch, and the house was spacious and worked well for our group. The neighborhood was quiet, and we loved being able to listen to the birds!
Only thing not noted on the original listing is that both bathrooms are downstairs, and they do have a traditional coffee pot in the kitchen. It would have been nice to have a few more bedside lamps in the rooms upstairs, otherwise everything was very clean, it was easy to locate electrical outlets for charging plugs, and the AC worked great. We would definitely stay here again!

Great place for group
We stayed here with our friends to surprise a local who was celebrating their birthday. We had no issues with the home-accommodations were just what we needed. We had plenty of space and spent the majority of our time on the porch when we weren’t at our friend’s house.

Cute place on the lake with its own dock. 7 people (6 adults 1 teen) fit comfortably in the house and could all find a seat on the back deck. Nice view of the lake and a nice quiet road to relax. Note that the walkways and steps to get in may be a little challenging for the elderly, but nothing crazy. The beds were a little uncomfortable. A few things I found odd from other rentals I’ve stayed in is the lack of beach towels, and needing to bring everything from propane for the grill to toilet paper, cooking oil, and hand-soap; which most other places seem to at least have some of around. Overall, good experience and we enjoyed our stay at the lake.
