The location was beautiful. Walking through the lagoon/river to get to the ocean was really cool - especially when the river was gently flowing. The scenery and open expanse of the beach and tidal variations was magical. Breakfast was delicious with a lot of variety.
We booked the room we wanted 8 months ahead of time for the best views and roomier feel and when we showed up we were assigned to a smaller room with less of a view. The room was still very nice, quiet, spacious and comfortable but it wasn’t what we originally wanted. Staff was amazing, accommodating and very friendly. We had the opportunity to move rooms back to the original booking after one week, but we chose to stay in the room we were settled in and assigned to keep things simple, but the staff definitely wanted to make the situation right. Brooke led a wonderful hiking tour to El Valle and we had a blast!

Cool surf spot, adorable common areas - ping pong, bar, beach. Breakfast was included, delicious and made to order by the nicest ladies.
The a/c in our room didn't work well, and we were way too hot all night - maybe not a problem in all rooms. The surf break is definitely advanced and not for beginners

Cool rooms, nice breakfast, ping pong and foosball. The staff was really fun and friendly. There were nightly volleyball games which was fun.
It’s not really on the beach. There is sand, but then a river that you have to cross and then another hill of sand and then a pretty large stretch of beach before you get to the ocean. You Can’t really even see the ocean from the property. It was really hot while we were there and we were traveling with kids so it was just quite a trek to get over to the ocean. The river also made for lots of mosquitoes. They also played a fairly continuous stream of AI generated music at the bar which after a while I found hard to listen to.
