Great place to spend a week

I'm very unhappy with my arrival experience. After 11 hours of traveling, we (my daughter & I) arrived at 11:30pm to find we were unable to gain access to the house. The code I was provided for the lockbox did not work. I called the emergency/after hours, phone number several times (and texted), I received no response. After waiting on the front porch of the rental house for two hours, all the while trying to find an available room at to a hotel to book, we finally left at 1:30am and had to uber to the only available resort north of town. The next morning I was provided with the correct lockbox code and able to enter the rental house, but I was given no compensation for the HUGE inconvenience, only reimbursement for my hotel room and uber fares. Very disappointed with the level of service and understanding I received. Also, the property smells of old cigarette smoke, so if you are sensitive to smells (or huge inconveniences) this is not the property for you.

My family stayed at the Jasmine Place when we visited Key West. The home was clean and the location was ideal. We walked all over the island. The management company was professional and helped us when we had trouble with the key code. No other problems!!!

The house is gorgeous and everything was clean when we arrived. The pool is in good shape and large for a pool in this area. The outdoor furniture on the upper deck was in need of replacement and the kitchen needs some additional utensils and cookware, bowls, baking dishes, etc. We cooked Thanksgiving dinner but had to bring most of our kitchen items over from our local home. Other than that, the place was wonderful.

Wow! Love this charming old home in the middle of everything downtown! We toured the Hemingway House next door, climbed to the top of the lighthouse across the street, and walked the town each day for coffee, food, and treats! My 11 & 12 year olds had fun being in the middle of all the action. Pool was great, and we walked to the marina for a day trip full of parasailing, snorkeling, kayaking, jet skiing, and a huge inflatable water park with slides and trampolines. Wonderful family Trip @ The Jasmine Place!

We had a group of girls celebrating a birthday. We had an amazing time. Perfect location and the property management even set up bikes to be delivered at our house. Would 100% stay here again.

The location was so peaceful, and the pool was wonderful. Being across from the lighthouse and next to the Hemingway House was perfect, it had a cool kind of retro vibe that was fun, but we were still within easy walking distance of wonderful restaurants and shops.

We really enjoyed our stay. Having a private pool was great. Angela made check in super easy. The house is in a great location, it was within walking distance of so many places we wanted to go. The only drawbacks were that you are literally right next to Hemingway house, we could wave at the people on tour and the driveway was tight. I was able to park my Suburban but had to climb out the passenger door. I would definitely recommend this house and will use Preferred Properties again!

Great communication, seriously! Clean. Great location. Felt safe as a single female. My Toyota Tacoma truck fit, but very tight (I could only get out on one side and the door didn't open fully) but she fit. It is an old house like it's mentioned. Upstairs bathroom has a heavy mold smell. I preferred the downstairs bathroom, no issues there. Washing machine needs to be replaced, it made my clothes smell like mold. Next to the Hemingway museum and Moondog Cafe! I could go to the museum early and not wait in the line that develops as the day wears on and then get home quickly back to the AC. Dinner was so easy with the nearby cafe. The couch was pretty comfy, I almost fell asleep on it watching 80's movies on the TV, as a storm blew through. Major vacation vibes right there. I had a great stay!

We had a wonderful long weekend at Jasmine Place. Communication with Preferred Properties was excellent. They were very helpful and so friendly. The house was perfectly clean inside and out. We loved the driveway and even squeezed our Nissan Titan in with just enough room to open one door. The a/c was cold in every room. The upstairs bathroom is large. The shutters give a good amount of privacy without blocking the light coming in. The music from the weddings at the Hemingway House was fun and we even got a glimpse of the bride and groom. The house reminds us of the Hemingway House so much. It really felt like our home. We would stay there again for sure.

Pro: great location right next to Hemingway House; walk to everything: restaurants, shops, bars, beach
Con: very noisy street. Lots of big trucks start passing at 6am and continue all day.
Pro: private yard with inground pool. Nicely landscaped.
Con: wood deck with exposed metal screws and splinters. Patio table needs an umbrella
Pro: private off street parking
Con: challenging to get into and out of the driveway and the wood gate and fence entrance to house are in rough shape: lots of exposed nails and splinters.
Pro: very old, quaint home. First floor has lots of room and a full bath.
Con: quaint = old. Very few outlets, kitchen looks ok in pics but is in need of new appliances and better housewares.
Just needs some TLC and simple improvements to make this good house a GREAT house.

We loved the location, pool, exterior of house is charming and enjoyed the porch, nightly band entertainment from Hemingway House. The interior and furnishings (especially the beds) could use some updates. The ad is correct when it says you would hear bands at the Hemingway house. There was a band 3 of the 5 nights. A couple of nights it was fun to sit on the porch and listen but we were thankful there was no band the last night.

Great location, didn’t get to use the pool as it was cold and rainy while there. Thankful we found space heaters as the house has no heat. It did smell, I guess owner smokes?? At any rate location is great. Bed comfy. Overall not bad.

Convenient location one block from Duval st. Given the age of the house, the windows did a poor job of keeping the noise out. Weddings nearly every night next door at the Hemingway house until 10-1030. A lot of road noise from cars and mopeds. Enjoyed the patio and outdoor space. Tiny driveway, don’t expect to fit an SUV.

Easy company to work with. They stay in constant contact prior to your arrival and follow up departing. They are very helpful and friendly. This is one of the larger properties we have stayed in just off Duval. It is next to the Hemingway house on Whitehead. Note: Whitehead can be loud in the morning if you are in the front bedroom. The whole property is very cool. It's older, but well kept. Two good restaurants within 2 blocks.

Wonderful home with perfect location. Super clean with a really nice, private pool/outdoor area. Also had a front porch area to sit and read, drink coffee and people watch. The only possible improvement would be better mattresses. Otherwise it's an A++. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

We had a great time - perfect location - walked everywhere. We also really enjoyed the outdoor space. It was so nice to escape the hustle and bustle in the private pool. We only slept in the split king bed, but thought it was in great need of an upgrade. A new, higher quality bed and linens would have made a BIG difference.

We were pleasantly surprised of how quaint and clean this rental was. The pool was an extra bonus and everything seem to be in working order with no disappointments. This is perfect for either two couples or a family of four. We would definitely rent this property again since it was so close to everything and right next-door to Hemingway‘s house. My sister and I stayed here for the week with our husbands, and we could not have had a better time! The location is fantastic next door to the Hemingway House and across the street from the Lighthouse. It is easy to walk or golf cart to just about any place on the island. The house is beautiful and cozy and coming back to swim in the pool after a long day of exploring is so refreshing! We definitely chose the right home for our stay!

This home was perfect for the four of us. Preferred Properties kept in touch with us without being intrusive throughout our stay. It was clean, comfortable and a perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring. The location Is close to the “action” but removed enough to be quiet. Loved the pool too. Can’t say enough how pleased we were.

House was perfect for our family. Location is great and central to everything we wanted to do. The main draw of the house for us was the pool. Having the ability to swim at any time was great, especially for our kids. Communication from the property owner was top notch.

Nice time together
We enjoyed our stay at this home for the most part & especially loved having our own private pool!! It was also a GREAT location that we were able to walk to everything!!
What we didn’t like at all was 4 lawn guys that showed up pounding on our front door after unlocking the front gate just checking to see if someone was home!
We never receive any communication about this from our property manager & we felt Extremely Uncomfortable the rest of our time in the home because that “KEY” that opens the front gate opens EVERYTHING on that property including the house!!! 😳
Please give some kind of security for the future people that stay here so they don’t feel fearful…..it’s a nice home!!

Awesome place and location. Beds need help!!
We really enjoyed the property with the pool and its proximity to restaurants and downtown. Our only complaint would be about the beds. They are terribly stiff and didn’t work for us very well at all. As much as we really enjoyed about the property, we were unable to have a good night sleep becuase we needed softer beds. But the management company and very thing else was top notch and we would stay there again. Just planning to bring aero beds next time
