The location is perfect for the idyllic scenery. It’s got such a relaxing vibe to it that it’s wonderful for a couple of days.
The information booklet was outdated and didn’t contain any vital information. No WiFi details or emergency contact information. We were unfortunate enough to have a couple of power cuts and no one was available to help us. That was pretty scary. No obvious fuse box on the property, so we were without power for a scary few hours.

Loved everything & will defo be back! Great location, tranquil & well equipped, super comfy & super relaxing. All completely tip top. Tristan super helpful too. Canoeing, paddle boarding, cycling, walking, wildlife watching. If you like the outdoors you will LOVE Clam Shell......
Probably could have done with knowing just how remote it was (as we should have bought more food with us!!). Would have been a great touch to have had some basic provisions on arrived i.e. tea & cake or ability to place order for some provisions at the local pub / other?? Could have done with a little more information on what to do locally. We were mad keen to see otters, and whilst we had a complete wildlife-fest generally the otters proved elusive! Next time.
