We stayed at Pali Kai for only 4 nights, too short a period for such a fabulous house and interesting community. Harvesting oysters at our house, clamming near-by and enjoying Hood Canal was relaxing, different (we're from Hawaii) and good fun! We were lucky to attend the annual Sequim Lavender Festival, that was great too. Thank you John and Cindy!!

John and Cindy are wonderful and kind hosts. They made it clear that they were available for whatever you needed. Property was incredible. Exactly as described. Probably one of the best rental kitchens I have experienced. Only thing they didn’t have was a coffee grinder! Literally everything else they had. Grills worked well, plenty of propane provided. Harvested oysters during low tide. *chefs kiss* as fresh as you can get. Property is secluded and quiet. Path down to the beach is a little sketchy, but my parents (ages 60+) made it down fine. Just go slow! Comfy beds in every room. 10/10 would stay here again.

This is one of the best stocked VRBO houses I have ever stayed in and everything is in good working order! It was clean, comfortable and the location can't be beat! Next time we spend time in that area this home is going to be our first choice.

Wonderful stay at this beautiful home with my adult children. Quite comfortable for 5 adults. We relaxed on the deck, gathered oysters from the canal, cooked some great food, played some fun games and did some nearby hiking. The home is fully equipped for everything and the owners are wonderful. We didn’t want to leave!

Very comfortable space stocked with everything you need and more for a fun vacation. The location on Hood Canal is perfect and it was so nice to have the kayaks to play in. Everyone in the family loved this home. We hope to return.

John and Cindy were great. We stayed 4th of July and they put up decor made it festive. It was very clean. Kitchen was well stocked. Lots of bath and beach towels. Beds and bedding were comfy. Beach was a bit of a hike but you can get shell fish right on beach. We would stay here again.

It was in a great location. The beach wasn't what we expected nor was as close as we thought. The beach was a little ruff for the kids. But the host made it up with all sorts of things for activities. We will be definitely be booking thos again

My husband arrived ahead and was met by the owner. He guided him to the property and helped him park our trailer. The first time arriving you need to pay attention to the turn. The owner spent time pointing out all the amenities ( there are many) . This property has incredible views of the Hood Canal. you can see the orcas go by if you are lucky or watch the eagles fish. The house is immaculate and equipped with all you need to have fun. You can even go pick your own oysters off the beach after a thrilling climb down the cliff. I would love to keep this place a secret, but I’m guessing the secret is out. Lots of day trips and hikes close by. We hope to be back next year.

We had a blast at this location. It’s a wonderful mix of forest and beach with an amazing view. The owners clearly take pride in the place and what they offer - it felt like staying at someone’s house that you already know with lots of access to anything you’d need (tools, first aid kits, excess blankets, games, etc). The host talked us through how to harvest and bbq oysters and it was such a fun experience that my family won’t forget. We will be back for sure.

Great hosts. John and Cindy were there and explained the features of the property. Home is in very good shape with plenty of towels, kitchen supplies, blankets/comforters, etc. Beach is accessible down a short path to the water. Outstanding views from the deck and front of the home. Overall, great getaway!

From booking, check- in personal greeting, every amenity, comfy bed, very , very clean and the most amazing views and beach we enjoyed our romantic weekend. Will definitely be back! Thanks Jon and Cindy!

So many great spots with this house - rooftop deck with an amazing view, yard with tables and seating, quiet beach. Everything was very comfortable and house us very well equipped!

We spent the weekend with some friends as a nice change of scenery and relaxation for my terminally ill husband. John was so sensitive to my husband's needs and comfort. Everything we needed was available. The view was so relaxing. Great sunrises and sunsets. John provides so such more for active renters. But it's also a great quiet place for a laid back visit. I would highly recommend a visit. Thank you, John for giving my husband one more wonderful experience. ❤️

Excellent rental for the accomodations, check in, well stocked, views, access to beach, kayaking and oysters. Will certainly return.

John was very helpful throughout the 9-day stay when we had questions about the area. The views from the property (downstairs, upstairs, patio, deck) are stunning!!!! Could barely drag ourselves away to hike some of the great trails/waterfalls nearby. The house was well-stocked with small appliances, dishes, cookware, paper products, linens, games, beach and kayak equipment, and more. Appreciated having a king bed in all 3 bedrooms! Would definitely return!

Owners are great, and the house and property is the perfect setup for enjoying everything hood canal has to offer. Boating, kayaks, oysters, fishing, great views and comfortable deck space and house, fully stocked and centrally located on the canal.

We had a very memorable family vacation - the house was perfect and had everything we needed to enjoy Hood Canal. We spent a lot of time just enjoying the private beach, kayaking, swimming and oyster harvesting. Was also great to have John meet us at the house when we arrived to show us around and give us all the information we needed. We are already discussing plans to have another family vacation there next year. Thanks!!

This was a vacation for the books! Absolutely the best time and loved the house! Watching the sunset from the top deck was breathtaking! The kayaks were a hit and my 10yr old did great for his first time! My hound dog got to swim for the first time in the ocean!! Kind of a hike to the beach but we'll worth it!@ we will be back for sure!! Thanks John and Cindy!! Everything was perfect!

The property was very clean and comfortable for 3 couples. We loved the king beds in every room. Our days were spent hiking in the Olympics each morning, then heading down to Hama Hama Oyster Bar and then back to the house for swimming and kayaking. Evenings were spent on the great upstairs deck visiting and soaking in the view. Pretty nice summer vacation. Only comment is to be aware that the second floor bath is part of a suite. Those staying in the master bedroom either need to use the downstairs bath or enter the other room. It worked for us, but wasn't clear from the description.

This property is nothing short of amazing. From the beautiful roof deck to the trail to the water, the views are fantastic. The kitchen is well-stocked with all you can need. Great, relaxing getaway.

What a great place to relax and enjoy beautiful views! Thank you for letting us bring our dog! It was off the road that we didn’t have to worry about him wondering up to the street. The house was super clean and there was everything we needed. Wish we had more time to spend out there! Communication was great and we’re already working on planning our next trip!

This place is great! The views are beautiful, the house is cozy, the fresh oysters are a big bonus as well as the kayaks!! Plenty of outdoor & indoor seating for enjoyment of the property! Bald eagles, plenty of birds & dolphins! We’d love to come back to enjoy a summer stay!

Our experience at this lovely home could not have been better. Although it is quite close to 101 it seemed worlds away with the wide canal filling the vista, mature trees, flowers and minimal road noise. It is a spacious and comfortable family vacation home with lots of outdoor seating areas and everything you could possibly need to cook anything you could possibly want! There are 2 grills, One designated for oysters and even an outdoor sink on the side of the house for prepping your oysters - I didn’t realize this is essentially the oyster capital of the world. (we could have collected them at low tide right there at the house but we took the lazy route & got them already cleaned and ready to grill from the Hamma Hama oyster saloon up the street) The owners are gracious about allowing use of their kayaks although it’s not an easy trek to get them from the level of the house down the steps to the beach below. But we are not young! Comfortable king size beds- not always easy to find in rentals. John and Cindy were fantastic to communicate with and had great suggestions including hiking trails nearby, We feel Very grateful to have found this home kind of on short notice for our reunion with some of our family while we were traveling in the northwest.
