Spotless, well kept lake house with a beautiful view and super area to stay. Nice, quiet and relaxing place that was close to some really great attractions like the National Corvette Museum and Mammoth Cave. Very enjoyable relaxing on the deck with the view of the lake and beautiful trees all around us. The owners parents are great welcoming couple and it was a pleasure meeting them. My wife who is super picky fell in love with the lake house and wants to come back and stay longer.

The house is clean. The sunroom with the fans was a great place to relax in the mornings and evenings. The area is quiet. Carl is awesome and was available if we needed anything. Access to the lake was much less of a hike than a lot of properties we saw. It was too hot for great fishing, but we still caught fish everyday. Highly recommend this house if you're going to Barron!

This home was the perfect getaway for our family! It had everything we could have possibly needed and more. The location was great, very secluded and private, but not too far from area attractions and amenities. We loved sitting on the serene back porch overlooking the lake and having direct access to the lake itself which was just a short stroll down the hill from the house. We loved swimming right off the dock and the owner was kind enough to put in a swimming raft for our kids to play on. They spent hours out there and had an absolute blast! We also had time to visit the lovely beach at nearby Barren River Lake State Park, Kentucky Down Under to spend some time with the kangaroos and, of course, Mammoth Cave National Park which was just a short drive away. Everything with our vacation was perfect and we would gladly return to this property again and again. Thank you so much to our hosts for providing such a wonderful experience!

We planned on staying in Nashville, but after 2 days in a loud hotel, we were excited to find this available. Didn’t love that the neighbors were wearing confederate attire, but to each their own. Clean and just as described!

We had a very relaxing time. Carl was wonderful, the house was cool, the water was nice. Close to Mammoth Cave and other tourist attractions.

The house is on a very quiet, peaceful street. It is a little out of the way, but the view and serenity are worth it. The owner lives very nearby, so he is available if you need him, but is in no way intrusive. The house is immaculate, has nice sheets and towels, and was outfitted with everything we needed. I loved that it had nightlights on the stairs and two thermostats so you could control the temps both upstairs and downstairs. We enjoyed sitting on the screened in porch, as well as the patio. With this house as our base, we were able to enjoy Mammoth Cave, the train museum in Bowling Green, Crystal Onyx Cave, Bardstown, Kentucky Down Under, and our favorite restaurant of the week which was Little Taste of Texas in Glasgow. Thank you for a great experience!

We had a wonderful time at this property. Was looking for a lake experience while visiting Mammoth Cave. As others have said the pictures don't do it justice. You can tell they care about this place as very clean and have added many new updates. It rained most of the time but that did not dampen our spirits. The screened-in porch was key to help us enjoy the lake while raining. My husband fished off the dock in-between rain bursts. It truly was relaxing and quiet. We will be back the next time we come this way.

We went ziplining at Adventure Park and enjoyed some good food and ice cream in nearby Bowling Green. The house is clean and cozy, and just steps away from the lake with a nice dock for fishing, we didn't do any swimming as our trip was in October. But the lake looks clean and fun to swim in too. There is a very nice outdoor area for campfires and the owner provided wood. We loved this place and cant wait to go back again... with our boat.

We've stayed here in the past. We were excited it was available again for our girls vacation! Access to the lake from the house is very doable especially for those over 50! Lol! And Carl....he is the best! He checked on us frequently and made sure we enjoyed our stay. We will definitely book again!

We had an absolutely wonderful time. The property is great and we loved having coffee on the deck in the morning and at night seeing the fire flies and wild life.

Perfect lake vacation! Absolutely top notch property and owners!

It would have been great if we were staying a week. We were only there 3 nights. We were gone all day so we didn’t get to utilize the grill or deck, plus it rained all day one of the days. The owner lives next door. He and his wife were very nice.

Absolutely the perfect lake cottage!! Truly enjoyed all the amenities & the hospitality of the owners!
