We had rainy cold weather and many appointments when we stayed at this property. I think in warmer and dryer conditions with extra leisure time our stay would have been more enjoyable. We would have had the energy to visit the animals and enjoy the whole farm experience.
The feel of the unit is a granny flat on a farm. To us it was comforting and cozy.
The owner communicated with email and was open to in-person communication. Since we were busy with business appointments, we were tired and did not initiate in-person communications. I think in today's world it is good that you can have a stay with no contact if necessary, yet have a host that is willing to interact in person if that is what you want.
The bed was full size. The room warmed after about an hour. It was nice to have the fire place, kitchen with an oven, and a pantry. We were able to make a meal and sit at the table to enjoy it.
The bathroom is very small. There is another bathroom that the owner lets you use, but it is not inside your unit. Just outside it in a breezeway between your unit and the main home. I had my own bath products, but forgot a towel when I used the other bathroom. So, dried with my clothes.
Air quality is good for most people. However, allergy sufferers should note that homes in the area heat with wood and/or coal fireplaces and/or stoves. The fireplace in this unity is gas, but outside you will have smoke to deal with.

We only had a very short overnight stay but we found the house to be very clean & the host was very pleasant and helpful. If we find ourselves back in that area we would definitely stay again, hopefully a longer stay so we can enjoy the property more.

Our stay was great! Clean room and linens. The family was very friendly and was willing to go above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The hospitality was astounding.
The animals on the property are very friendly and run over when they see you with the crackers provided outside your door. We were lucky enough to come at a time when 3 goats and 2 lambs were born that we were able hold to interact with.
The hosts are hardworking farmers that made us feel more than welcomed. Me and my wife will absolutely book this place again.

This farm guest house is very nice.
It was clean, comfortable and really relaxing. The property is beautiful and Emily and her family the owners go well above expectation. This place is a great place to stay, we plan to go back again.

Nice little one room suite. Has everything you need for a day or two. As an overnight stay it was perfect, far better than a hotel. Quiet, comfortable, beautiful farm setting, where you are away from it all.

Check-in was so easy! We were "on the go" and on a time constraint. Once we told Emily this, she adjusted our check-in time. We both grew up on farms and this was the perfect setting!

We loved our stay at the farm! It was a beautiful, peaceful property and our kids really enjoyed the animals. The hosts were very communicative and willing to provide anything we needed. The room was cozy and comfortable! We would definitely stay here again.

Our stay was of the most memorable ever. The hosts were so warm and welcoming making sure we had everything we needed during our stay. We were greeted with animal crackers to feed the critters and a loaf of fresh baked bread, honey and half and half for coffee. We could write a small book on all the joys we experienced while there. We give Sunny Ridge a 5 star review… you will love it there

Emilie’s place is by far one of the best places I’ve ever stayed at, and I’ve stayed at a lot of places across the United States. Everything was clean, comfortable and peaceful. I left my pillow and blanket and she contacted me immediately and was so nice about my mess up. The farm is beautiful and so quiet and the family is so sweet. We hope to go back some time in the future!

My husband and I were here for our wedding anniversary weekend and I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed ourselves! Emily and Craig are the perfect hosts ... very friendly, they made sure we had everything we needed while still respecting our privacy. The goats were so sweet and friendly as long as we didn't run out of animal crackers :) I would recommend this property to anyone. We're already planning to return for our anniversary next year!!

First, let me say I wish we could rate it more STARS. This is a 10 Star place! Beautiful farmhouse far enough from the streets that you don't hear cars. Waking up to the farm sounds. AMAZING. Rooster crowing, chickens clucking, turkeys gobbling, sheep baaah-ing, and goats mahahah-ing. The goats and sheep are super friendly, they allowed us to pet them for long periods of time. walking the perimeter of the farm was great. surrounded by the crops, corn, and wide open fields.... just breathtaking. Can't wait to come back.....

Our stay was perfect,Emily was the perfect host. The farm was quiet, beautiful and clean. We went to Hershey everyday and i would never stay in a hotel again. This is the place to go for peace and quiet. The pool was amazing after a full day at the park. My daughter loved the goats!!!!

Emily is a great host, and the property was very clean. The bathroom inside the unit is a little tight, but there was another bathroom available for use. We enjoyed visiting Nisley Winery which is right down the road. Thanks for letting us enjoy your farm.

The cutest little place. Felt so homey and welcoming. Loved getting to feed the goats and enjoy the fresh air. Emily and her family were absolutely wonderful, and the eggs are the best ever!

The secluded farm setting was perfect for relaxation yet the surrounding area has so many things to choose from for activity! We chose a show at Sight & Sound, historical boat ride on the Susquehanna River, reliving childhood at Turkey Hill Experience, relaxing swim and reading pool side, and fine dining at the The Railroad Inn. We chose rest over live music and winery only 1.5 miles from Sunny Ridge and hope to visit there next time! Truly eclectic 36 hours and loved every minute of it. Thank you Emily and family for your welcoming heart, sweet Lil' B (goat), dining recommendations, and clean and comfortable guest house - especially having everything needed for a morning coffee!

Although our stay was short, we throughly enjoyed every little detail about this place. From the warm and cheerful host Emily and her family to the adorable farm animals, this home away from home has it all! Emily and her family are very attentive and generous with their accommodations. 10/10 would stay again and try to interact with all the animals next time. We loved every minute of our stay. The location of Sunny Ridge Farm was perfect and beautiful...close to Lancaster, family in York and the River Walk. The farm fresh eggs were delicious!! Even purchased additional eggs for the following morning. My nephews loved feeding the anilmals and visiting the farm. Emily responded quickly to our questions. SRF was our home away from home when we were back in Lancaster attending a funeral and a place where we found peace and tranquility. Thank you Emily!

Such a sweet place to stay! Our suite was so comfy/clean and it had everything in it that we needed for a relaxing weekend visit. Emily goes out of her way to make sure that you enjoy your visit to her farm. Her added touches of farm fresh eggs, coffee, tea, cream, and even sweets were so appreciated.
