We really enjoyed the house and area of New Hampshire. The kitchen has been updated from the pictures on the site, and is very nice. The dog pen is large and directly accessible from the rear deck, fully enclosed and secure with no leash required for that last "outside" trip before bed.

House was stocked with the supplies you dont think of paper products, food storage etc. Only reason it wasnt a 5 star was there was some small cleanliness concerns, and for a house that sleeps 8 there are only 4 chairs for the table just wished it had folding chairs so the whole family could be around the table.

the property and house were very nice. the restaurants recommended were very good. we did try and clean the grill but it was way to dirty and we didn't have the right tools to clean it. so we didn't use it. the American Flag is worn and should be replaced.

We had a wonderful stay at camp tamworth. As others have mentioned, the house was well-stocked and homey. Jeff is definitely the best owner we’ve ever stayed with by far. He is very responsive and happy to share his home. Our kids played in the stream for hours. We were able to do many day trips to various locations. An absolutely wonderful stay!

Wonderful property! The house was very clean with fresh linens and ample comfortable beds. Kitchen is beautiful (updated since picture online) with ample and quality provisions. The showstopper of the house is the deck along the river. Our dogs loved the fenced in dog park that is accessible through deck. Despite the rain we had an enjoyable weekend. House has a big screen tv (which we couldn’t quite figure out the remotes) and lots of board games which we played and had a really fun time (better than watching tv!) Looking forward to a return visit...can’t imagine that deck in the ☀️!

We had an awesome week at Camp Tamworth and will definitely return! Jeff was very helpful and hospitable, we felt right at home staying here with our children and dog. The house was very private, extremely comfortable and clean, the kitchen was fully stocked, and all linens and towels were supplied. We had coffee every morning on the deck overlooking the river, what a fantastic way to start the day! Perfect location to relax, and centrally located to many great places to explore. Thanks again Jeff!

We really enjoyed our stay! The kitchen was fully stocked. They supplied all linens. The beds were very comfortable. The place was clean. You could hear the river everyday from inside the house. The deck overlooks the river. The only thing I would have liked was an actual walkway / stairs to the river. A short walk down the river there are several beautiful spots with waterfalls. Very quiet! Felt relaxed the whole time. My brother and his wife visit for the day. He spotted a bear cub and a silver fox. If you like crows, which I do... they are in the local trees and you can hear their chatter daily. Love it! Thanks for a great experience!

We stayed here with our two grown sons while visiting family in the area and doing lots of mountain climbing. It was perfect! We will definitely be seeking it out again for our next trip to New Hampshire. It had everything we needed. There was more than enough room, and the key elements for comfort - like kitchen utensils, washing machine, Wi-Fi, and comfortable beds - were all there. The BEST attribute though is the porch overlooking the river. We enjoyed many hours there chatting over drinks and watching birds. It is totally secluded and beautiful. The little town of Tamworth is very convenient for accessing the White Mountains. It also has a very good Farmer's Market on Saturdays. We hiked Boulder Loop, Mt. Hedgehog, Red Hill, Rattlesnake, Five Finger Point, and almost made it to the top of Washington! Bear Camp Pond is just down the road to cool off, and we went on a delightful boat trip on Squam Lake run by an outfit called Local Expeditions. If you've never been to this part of NH, you need to treat yourself and go!

House was beautiful and clean right on the river. We brought tubes and went tubing in the rapids. Close to Center Harbor and Conway. Jeff the owner was extremely helpful. Great restaurants and very close to White Lake state park which was pristine and offered canoe, paddle board and kayak rentals. We would definitely stay here again. We saw a cute black bear swimming in the river almost every morning.

This house was the perfect retreat for our friends and dog over a long weekend. The house was clean, comfortable, remote from neighbors, and on a beautiful spot on the river that felt like we had it all to ourselves. Jim was very hospitable as well. Already looking forward to booking it again next summer!

I honestly cannot say enough nice things about this home! It was very comfortable for myself, my husband, our baby and our basset hound. The dog run is right off the porch, which made it super easy to let our dog in and out of the house. Also, we have stayed in "dog friendly" houses before and in those houses there was a strong "dog" smell, but this house smelled great! The kitchen was large, fully stocked and easy to cook in. We also enjoyed the gas grill on the deck several times during our stay. The beds were VERY comfortable and all linens and towels were clean and white. Extra bonus was all of the child safety options around the house (easy to remove for the week, if you don't need them). This house is children friendly and was great for our 1.5 year old. 20 mins from the Meredith grocery store, about 2 miles from Bearcamp Pond (great for kids!) and about 15 mins from Chocorua Lake (great views and crystal clear water). Also, the owner provides a Tamworth permit for your car (which is needed at private beaches and Bearcamp Pond), it is a nice bonus! We have stayed in 2 other houses in Tamworth, but this is our favorite house and we plan to stay there again next year!

This property is was great for our bike week stay. Remote for relaxing yet only a nice 30 min ride south to Meredith and Weirs Beach. The river off the deck was hypnotizing and relaxing. Plenty of privacy except for the occasional hikers along the path on the other side of the river. The home was pretty clean (an 8.5 on a scale of 10) and very cozy. 35 minutes or so north is North Conway which has everything you need from Walmart to large grocery stores to nightlife. White mountain driving / site-seeing is also a short drive away. Internet access worked well at the home, although the satellite TV could be iffy at times working about 90+% of the time. Bring mosquito repellant though, as they were VERY active around dusk. Kitchen is full stocked with everything you could need. The owner is super helpful and reachable if there are any problems. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

The cabin was beautifully situated in a quieter area on a good size lot by the brook. It was beautiful hearing the brook throughout the stay and exploring the area. The cabin was well equipped with everything needed and really felt like home. It had comfortable beds, cable tv and a fully stocked kitchen. We did not want to leave. The owner was very helpful also. It has a lovely deck out the back with gorgeous views of the brook and is a nice quiet place to stay read a book or hang out. The cabin was perfectly situated in a more quieter area, away from the hustle and bustle and real touristy areas. It was still easily accessible to all the major attractions - within a 30 min drive. Loved the whole week and really did not want to leave.

We had an outstanding time at the cabin in Tamworth. It was a perfect way to get away from the city and relax for a few days. Everything was as advertised and Jeff, the owner, was extremely helpful and responsive to any questions. Highly recommended!

My wife and I stayed in this cabin on the Bearcamp River the month of August. We have done a lot of traveling and stayed in some great places; however, this was the best. The atmosphere was homey and the deck on the riverside occupied most of our time. My brother and his wife came over to visit twice from Thorton, NH and loved the place. It was clean, well stocked, and very comfortable. Jeff was super and very helpful with any of our needs. There are many things to do in that area and the month just flew by. If we ever go back to Tamworth we will definately try to stay at this cabin. There is hiking, fishing and great restaurants close by. We caught trout out of the river. If you come here, be sure to check out Jake's restaurant on HWY 16 south of Ossipee. We will recommend it to anyone planing a trip to New Hampshire. Jamie and Belinda

My husband and I have stayed at this property several times and adore it. It is ideal for detox from the noise of the city. The house is set on a good size lot back from the road and affords a lot of privacy. The house is well maintained and always clean upon our arrival. The property is used by the owners so there are many homey touches and conveniences. The shower has great water pressure, The back deck is a great place to have a morning coffee or late afternoon snack or bbq with the gurgling of the river in the background. Just so you don't feel totally cut off, there is satellite tv and wireless internet/phone. Cell signal is good, at least with my carrier AT&T. The location is approximately half an hour south of North Conway where there are plenty of tourist spots to explore. It is nice to have a "base camp" from which to explore and return home to. We have taken many day trips visiting the surrounding areas and white mountains. My husband loves to photograph and never seems to run out of options no matter the season. The nearest "big" grocery market is about 20 minutes away, but there is a corner store for convenience items less than a mile down the road. The owners Jeff and Wendi are easy to communicate with and very responsive as well. I would recommend this property for either a romantic escape or get away with the family.
