Lower Hawkstones Farm, 18C Pennine Farmhouse

È selvaggio e ventoso e possiamo nevicare in inverno.

Great pet friendly stay. Host was communicative and helpful Only downside was that the kitchen didn’t have any kitchen roll, cleaning supplies etc. ‘basic’ stuff was a little sparse, but other than that, it was a great house for the 5 of us and 3 pups

I booked three nights and the one whole day we were in the area was for my nephew's wedding. However, the property was spotlessly clean and comfortable and catered well for me, my husband, grown up family and two Springer spaniels.

There were several issues with the cleaning. The vacuum cleaner was in a terrible state we were unable to use it due to the awful smell when it was switched on. The cushions on the sofas had'nt been removed and the sofas hoovered, there was debris down the sides, between the cushions and arms,. The oven needed a good clean. We cleaned the glass doors on the wood burner as they were so black we could'nt see the fire! The family bathroom was quite clean as was the downstairs WC but the couple who had the en-suite room were'nt happy with the state of their bathroom, and there was a sock behind a cushion on the chair in their bedroom. They left it there, but it was rather off putting, proving that the cleaning routine was'nt up to standard. We enjoyed our stay as we were with family and friends. The general overall view was that it's 3 star at best.
