The location where the hostel is, was good, but its close to where it gets shady.

This is not a hostel. Its a cheap rundown hotel, nothing is going on there. Nothing is on the balcony, not even a chair or a plant, and no light, so you can't really use it. The showerhead is broken and only cold water out of a hole in the wall. The sink is leaking on the bathroom floor and then the whole floor in the bathroom is wet. And there is only very little toilet paper.  And when I asked for morestoiletpaper, he didnt supply more. And in the double room was only one (very old) towel. The AC broke down several times during our 4 day stay and we had no fan. Maybe the hotel looked nice five years ago, when all the pictures were uploaded, but since then nothing has been invested and everything falls apart. Even the kitchen looks nasty. I would not cook there. On the rooftopterrasse was nothing else than an old hammock, an old carpet used by a dog and no plants. The owner is friendly. But still, he should definitly do a lot of maintenancework in this place.

La ubicación de la casa es lo mejor que tiene, ya que está cerca a todo el centro de la ciudad.

La habitación puede mejorar, la cama no era cómoda, sus paredes no estaban limpias y habían cosas en la cocina que les faltaban limpiar. Ojala pueda mejorar esos aspectos.

The location was great! Easy walk to the main road of restaurants and the historic center, the beach is also not far. The room was comfortable and the shared kitchen was well kept. There's a nice roof to get some fresh air but not really great views. The staff were so helpful and kind, Said had great communication and was always asking if we needed anything.

Good location with a terrace overlooking the city. Nice kitchen and friendly host who allowed early check-in.

The shower was pretty bad

We had a great stay here! It’s close to the center and the supermarket. Our room was spacious with a huge balcony. Said is super friendly and gave us lots of recommendations of things to do in and around Santa Marta. The kitchen is clean and well-equipped for cooking. The street is quiet at night, so I’d just recommend taking a taxi if returning after dark. Great hostal to stay at while in Santa Marta!

The kitchen is good for cooking meals and the owner is super friendly nice guy. Thought the mattress was comfortable.

Avoid going left down the street away from the beach I was mugged with a machete down there. The cleaning staff are unbelievably loud shouting at each other early in the morning right outside the room. The pillows were uncomfortable.

The location of the Hostal was perfect. It is in the heart of Santa Marta. Near supermarket, souveniers shops, restaurants and beaches. All walking distance.

The expectation of the Hostal was totally different. Did not complete the services that has been published on Booking. ■The first thing was there was a strong presence of gas in the whole hostal.( not safe, although the owner took action and fixed it it kept smelling like gas when wanting to use the stove). Only one burner was working. We could not cook normal ■ in the kitchen cabins there was of those small cockroaches and a lot of anteaters around. ■It was not hygienic, toillet downstairs next to the kitchen was nasty with pee, couldn't use it, no toilletpaper, no soap. (Was missing all of the small details) ■The 2nd day there was no wifi and no t.v. anymore, it looked like they have cut the services (the real reason is unknown) ■ No Privacy. I did not receive a key for the room that I have reserved. Only main entrance key. The doorhandle of the room got broken. Sow the room stayed open with all of our things in there.

The hostel is okay all in all. The owner is very friendly, he showed us everything and was really nice!
