The property was beautiful …..beautiful gardens around it, a beautiful lake to gaze at and beautiful inside. It has a good location for many interesting day trips. It was just a perfect, relaxing vacation.

Full review is in the book at the cabin. This was possibly the best Vrbo my husband and I have ever stayed in. Lovely grounds and landscaping on a peaceful lake with the amazing sounds of loons. The bed is super comfy which is really important to us on vacation. We enjoyed the kayaks at sunset and moon rise. Thank you for a great place to wind down on our first trip to Maine.

Beautiful property!
We had a nice relaxing stay at this wonderful cottage. The cottage is in a beautiful setting and has every convenience you need. We did two day trips to Acadia and a few days kayaking on the lake. We would definitely recommend this cottage or even go back again ourselves.

In a word, Perfect!
“Perfect” is the best way to describe Dan and Karen’s place on Brewer Lake! The cottage is fantastic with all that you need for a relaxing getaway! The pictures are exactly as you see on the listing. The views of the lake and surrounding woods are breathtaking. The cottage has modern appliances (the WOLF gas cooktop and oven was awesome!) and the sleep number bed was SO comfortable...in fact we are going shopping for one today! The location is about 30 minutes from the airport and 10 minutes to local shopping, yet you feel like you are really away from everything. It is quiet and peaceful with loads of wildlife literally on the door step. We highly recommend Dan and Karen’s cottage for anyone looking to getaway, you will not regret it! 1st Wedding Anniversary
This beautiful cottage was a peaceful escape from our busy lives. The hosts really thought of everything and provide their guests with essentials to enjoy this wonderful property. The proximity to Acadia is perfect and we went on some tremendous hikes. The sunset over the lake on our last night was incredible as we watched from the chairs down by the water. We will definitely be back in the future!

The Loons are Calling
This place is wonderful. A lot of thought has gone into making it a lovely experience. The home is comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped for cooking. We enjoyed the sunsets, the loons, the hummingbirds, the stars, the fires at night, and of course the lake. It’s a perfect getaway and Bar Harbor and Acadia are only an hour away if you choose. We highly recommend this perfect, cozy cottage.

Everything about this place is wonderful!
The lake is beautiful, the house is very well kept and equipped. We loved kayaking the lake, sitting at sunset on the deck over the lake and sitting by the fire at night. It was a wonderful stay!

Gorgeous lakefront cottage
The cottage was beautiful , clean and well appointed. There was a problem with the bed which could not be resolved during our stay.
The host , but not the property manager , was available during our stay . Karen and Dan were very responsive. However, the people who first assessed the problem were not able to find or fix.
We are hopeful that in the future we can have a successful stay at this gorgeous property.

Birthday getaway
Planned this trip for my wife's birthday, and for a break from hectic work schedules. We were more than happy with the location and the cottage. We were so relaxed and it sure helped to relieve the stress. Will most definitely consider coming back

Relaxing summer getaway
This property is absolutely lovely - great deck off the living room, beautiful and large dock near the water for perching and relaxing. The kitchen is bright and spacious with a gorgeous range on which to cook. Fire-pit is well-located right off the deck and the placement and layout of the outdoor space on the property was very thoughtful. Owners responded right away and were always reachable. Only regret is that we didn't book two weeks. We won't make that mistake again next year.

Beautiful Lake Cottage
We had an amazing stay at this cottage again this summer. It has everything needed for an incredible vacation. We spent much of our day enjoying the lake. The property itself is well maintained. It has two decks that are perfect for enjoying everything nature has to offer. After watching the beautiful sunsets, we spent the evenings around the fire pit. If you stay here, you will love it!

Beautiful Lake House
We really enjoyed our stay at this lake house. The view of the lake was amazing. Having the kayaks to use was great, as was being able to use the outdoor fire pit and the portable grill. I would definitely recommend staying here, and hope to do so again!

Perfect place to relax and enjoy nature! And be alone with your honey!
The most amazing place to unwind, recharge and reconnect with your loved ones. The view of the lake is to die for and we felt like we were in our own private honeymoon oasis! As stated by others, the bed is sooo comfortable that we got really restful sleep! And being able to fall asleep to the call of the loons - who could ask for more! Dan and Karen have thought of everything that you could possibly need for a wonderful vacation! Communication with them was excellent too! We enjoyed a fire in the firepit each evening using the firewood provided (more than enough and it burned wonderfully). I can't say enough positive things about this property, the owners and experience!

Quiet and Perfect Getaway
We could not have been more pleased with this tranquil getaway on Brewer Lake. The property is private and quiet with wonderful views of the water. Our days started with breakfast on the porch, observing the activity of loons and bald eagles on the lake. The days were spent exploring Brewer Lake, which we seemed to have all to ourselves. We enjoyed evening sunsets from the deck especially built for that purpose, prepared dinner in the well-appointed kitchen, and fell asleep in a very comfortable bedroom to the sounds of loons calling at night. It could not have been more relaxing or rejuvenating. A wonderful spot to get away for a couple. Thank you Karen and Dan for sharing your special place with us!

Honeymoon Getaway
My wife and I stayed here for three nights on our honeymoon. It was an absolutely gorgeous location, with comfortable amenities and a few thoughtful touches provided by the owners, such as the firepit being prepared with wood and kindling prior to our arrival. It is within comfortable driving distance of Bangor as well as Bar Harbor, but also has ample comfort and privacy to make staying in an enjoyable experience as well. The sunsets out the living room window are spectacular.
