Blue Dolphin

The Blue Dolphin is an excellent place to stay on Andros. It has a lovely view over the town of Batsi and is surrounded by well-maintained gardens. The island bus can be hailed as it passes the gate of the property. As well as the unremarkable town beach, Batsi has nicer beaches just a few minutes walk in both directions, and there is no shortage of restaurants, cafes and tavernas. My room was clean and comfortable. Christos was very helpful, maintaining contact prior to my arrival and offering an excellent breakfast each morning. He was available to drive me up into the hills to start a hike at high altitude and arranged my transfer to the port at the end of my stay.

Comfortable traditional rooms with modern bathrooms. Great views of Batsi. Christos was a great host, very friendly, informative, and interesting.

Although most people might not have any difficulty, I found that the steps to the village were manageable during the day but I took a local taxi from the village at night.

Location Owner very helpful

Mattress very uncomfortable . Suggest deodorize the car - heavy animal odor and hair. Few places open as it is out of season.
