Lack of amenities like facial tissues, shower cap

This is up in the mountains so the views were absolutely stunning from our balcony. Our room was well designed and equipped. The restaurant and bar staff were helpful and friendly and the view from the breakfast terrace was excellent. It was next to the castle which you can visit. The town of Jaen and a vast to an olive growing museum were very interesting.

It was lovely walking down into town but we had no luck getting a bus back up so had to resort to taxi in the heat.

We often stay at Paradors and once again we were not disappointed. Lovely location and used as a base to travel the area. The staff are very helpful. Restaurant was excellent although we only ate dinner once there during our stay.

There are three areas that would have made the stay even more exceptional (all involving drinks!) 1. The pool is lovely and very welcome due to the exceptional heat and sunshine. It is a shame there is no bar service within the pool area especially as it’s a long distance from the hotel bar. There was a vending machine however this was virtually empty and wasn’t re-stocked during our stay. We ended up buying our own supplies and drinking them by the pool. 2. The minibar in the room barely chilled the drinks we purchased. We did set it to its coolest setting which helped slightly. 3. We are great coffee lovers and are used to pod machines when we stay in hotels such as H10 group. Instant sachets weren’t great so would suggest taking your own.

Great location, stunning views, clean & comfortable room, great bed.

The restaurant food for dinner was very disappointing. The menu appeared interesting but all the dishes we chose were poor. No where in the morning to get a coffee other than pay fir breakfast. The food & beverage side detract from what otherwise is a stunning hotel.
