good value for money in a lovely part of Livorno. The hotel sits on the seafront, with the promenade right outside for long walks, and it is practical too — a short bus ride from the centre and the train station, with the bus stop immediately outside the door. Private parking is available. Rooms are not large but perfectly adequate, and views range from the sea to the villa next door depending on which one you get. Staff were helpful whenever I needed anything.
Facilities are fairly basic and the decor is looking dated. Wifi works but is nothing exceptional. The doors close for the night at around 22:00–23:00 with no one at reception after that; you are given a key at check-in, and there is an arrangement in place for guests arriving later, but it is worth knowing in advance if you plan a late evening out. I did not order breakfast, so cannot comment on it.

Good location when you come from the ferry and do not want to dive into the city
It’s at the water but there is a huge military area in front, so you can‘t see and access the waterfront.
Breakfast contains lots of surgery products, no eggs, no alternatives for lactose intolerant people.
Service is poor. There is a strong smell of sewerage system in the room and bathroom.
