Love the area and love the hotel - clean and lovely staff who I add have worked there many years .

Our friends came with us , was celebrating my birthday for few days . We got told that booking.com made a error on rooms and we received the superior room which was just amazing , they though was next door in 104 and it was the smallest classic ever been in with coaching inns . The reason we book through booking.com is being able to take free cancellation which helps for emergency’s .

Characterful but clean, good location.

Noise from other guests and the road.

Location is superb, along the High Street. Close to the train station, M&S, Waitrose & river

Great location. The building has atmosphere.

Tiny room .... booking .com does not clearly show just how small some of the rooms are. Hotel management told me afterwards that only an average size is shown on B.com website. Very small and uncomfortable double bed. I've used this hotel at least 4 times over the past 2 years. This was my worst experience, I know there are better rooms available. This was not good value for money.
