Gorgeous traditional Cotswold village green location….

The staff were great throughout our stay, very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was a good size and really tasty. We also had dinner here and the chicken was excellent and cooked perfectly. The prawn salad was nice, although it could have done with a little more seasoning. The garden is lovely, with really nice furniture and some great stone tables. Our room was comfortable with a large bed, attractive distressed-style furniture and a lovely big wardrobe with plenty of hangers. The shower was excellent – hot, strong and powerful – and there was a good selection of toiletries provided, including shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and creams. The pub itself has plenty of character and a very good choice of drinks.

The only disappointing point was the football. There was a TV in the bar, but we still had to visit another nearby pub to watch the early kick-off, even though the match was being shown on ITV.

It is an old building so the room was not very sensibly laid out and access to the room was very difficult up steep windy stairs quite dangerous Poor for work as few plug sockets and small desk
