The interior design and original features.
The windows. Aren’t double glazed so the noise from the high street was quite loud in the morning.

Spacious apartment, good size rooms, great shower and bathroom. Although above the main road it was less noisy than I expected.
Cleanliness lacked attention to detail eg food on tiles, dust accumulated in corners, didn’t ruin our stay at all. Some fixtures are showing their age again didn’t bother us for what we had paid.

Lovely room, clean & spacious with very comfy 4 poster bed. When we arrived we received a very warm welcome at reception and all staff we met throughout our stay, were friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfasts at the Penny Farthing across the road, and the meals on both evenings in the hotel were good too. A thoroughly enjoyable stay, we hope to visit again soon.
There was nothing we didn't like

Location
Our room was very dated, although having paid for a superior room. Really?!!! Our room was located at the front and extremely noisy as the drayman made a delivery:collection at 2am in the morning and woke us up.
