Trearddur Bay Hotel

Very convenient location for our visit .Nice breakfast. Comfortable room.

Stairs a bit challenging for anyone carrying a bag upstairs in the Tower House. Loved having a bath in the bathroom, but it was unusually narrow. Has anyone in the management tried to get out of these baths? No room to manoeuvre to kneeling position leaving you dependent on your feet not slipping in the wet bath after lifting yourself up with your arms. Advertises swimming pool , but the small print after you have booked says you can only use the pool with another adult. Hotel bar is rather rudimentary, and JW Lees (whose brewery seems not to want to use hops in it's bitters)

The hotel needs a lift to help with us older guests!

The location is fantastic! The breakfast was great, we had it delivered to our room both mornings for £5, plenty of choice although hot drinks would have been a nice option. Room (32) was beautiful, and had a beautiful window seat looking out onto the sea. The view was lively and the room felt homely.

Unfortunately despite it being 20.5 degrees outside, the hotel had the heating on and it was extremely uncomfortable. I was travelling with my mother and 2 year old who had constant sweat beads on his nose in the room it was so hot. We used the fan in the room and couldn’t have survived without it. We did mention it to the staff and they said it was just tough as it’s automatically set at this time of year (September is always warm?). The room was clean enough, but still had cobwebs and black mould around the window sill and bath. Under the sofa and bed also needed cleaning, there were still items from the last occupants. There are no lifts at the hotel, and this was difficult with a toddler carrying prams, travel cot and bags etc. we were on the top floor and there a lot of steps! No hot drinks on the breakfast menu for room delivery - the instant coffee in the room is never the same. The pressure from the shower was very poor, really low but still did the job.

The cottage room was small but fabulous view and quiet. Plenty of amenities in room such as coffee, tea, chocolate, water etc. Dinner in the INN was good and fish pie very tasty. Breakfast was disappointing a little with basic buffet but overall a nice hotel.
