The staff were all very welcoming and friendly. The hotel was very peaceful and is in a picturesque area. The food from the restaurant was delicious both breakfast and evening meal.
There was a green emergency light in the ceiling if the bedroom and in the bathroom that remained on when the lights were turned off. Unfortunately it was extremely bright and meant for two poor nights sleep as it was like sleeping with a traffic light stuck on above your head.

Lovely attentive staff. Gorgeous suite and building. Less than. 30 mins from Wasdale Head so great for Scafell Pike.

Breakfast very good. Location OK but we happened to visit when main road access to south was closed from 8.00pm
No problem with any aspect of stay other than inconvenience of temporary closure of main road access
