Good hotel, good pool, kind recepcion and staff and amazing breakfast!

Common areas was not in order.

The location of the hotel was really good. Short walk to Funchal town centre, with plenty of shops, restaurants, bars near the hotel. Reception Staff at the hotel were very friendly and welcoming and offerend a welcoming glass of Madeira Wine. . Restaurant staff were excellent! Very quick in cleaning up used dishes and if any questions they were more than happy to help. There was a good selection of food at breakfast- sweet and savoury,.plenty to choose from. The food was fresh and the kitchen staff ensures it gets replenished promptly, especially during busier periods in the restaurant.

There are few things the hotel could do a little better. There could have been a little bit more information at check in about any events happening at the hotel. They held different themed nights, however not much information around how to book it. The cleaning standards in our room were not very good. When we moved in to our room there was quite a bit of dust around and inside the wardrobe, as well as the floor wasn't well cleaned.The bedsheets although they were fresh, they had some sort of stains on them. Throughout our stay, even though the room was cleaned daily it felt rushed. The cleaning standards were just a little low. The hotel room had a kettle, but no tea or coffee available in the room- no information whether you need to supply your own or to ask hotel staff. The hotel takes €10 for a beach towel hire- most 4* hotels I stayed in give you a card to exchange for a beach towel and if the card isn't returned upon checkout they charge you a fee. They also charge you €1, everytime you want to change your beach towel for a fresh one. We booked superior room for 3 people. The extra bed mattress was of poor standard. Not very comfortable. We had to put extra blankets under the bedsheet as you could feel the mattress springs coming through when sleeping.

L'albergo ha una bella piscina, e l'area dove mangiare con un bel balcone affacciato sul mare.

La camera era si spaziosa ma il bagno non era all'altezza, la vasca era bucata, il soffione della doccia era tutto incrostato e spruzzava male. L'aria condizionata non raffreddava abbastanza. La colazione non era molto varia.
