Kyriad Hotel Brest

It is only 3 tram stations from the city centre: easy to quickly stroll down the street (less than 10 min), and about up to 15 min to climb back to the Hotel. The bus 10 to Oceanopolis station is indeed nearby. The traditional pancake place is just across the lane, worth visiting (Creperie de Cornouaille). Lot of little shops/supermarkets just around, and a very friendly neighbourhood (despite I did hear about it's questionable reputation, my experience was indeed very nice). Staff was nice and helpful. Bed was extremely comfortable, and there was a fan provided (no air conditioner, but I did not need it at the end of August anyway). Room had nice big window which you could open and listen to seagulls and feel the smell of the sea salt in the air. The room was quiet (not facing the main street) and my sleep superb!

I was not aware that I would stay in the middle of renovation works. Electronic keys did not work, so the staff had to escort me and open the door each time. Rooms are basic and tiny, and you need to hang a provided paper on the outside of the door knob if you want your room cleaned. OK to sleep over, but not to linger longer in your room.

The staff was super friendly and nice

The hallway carpet was smelling bad. You. Needed someone from the staff to come up with you to open the door.

Good solution for a stay in Brest. Clean although basic room. Nice staff

The room wasn’t clean. The area is a bit ropey and quite a long way out of the centre. We saw a couple of people breaking into the building behind. When we told the staff the room wasn’t clean, nothing happened for 24 hrs and then it still wasn’t cleaned properly. WiFi is awful. Recessed ceiling light in bathroom hanging out.
