8 / 10Eccellente·apr 2026

We booked this hotel because it offered secure bike storage. Unfortunately the bike garage was not available due to building works but staff were helpful and found us a small room, not ideal, but was secure.

8 / 10Eccellente·mar 2026

The rooms were spacious and the bed was really comfortable. The hotel is on the edge of town and really close to some excellent restaurants. The staff were extremely polite and helpful.

There was scaffolding around the hotel due to ongoing renovations, however, this did not spoil our stay there.

Central for visiting WW2 sites

Breakfast for two of the three nights was a nightmare because they had a group of 40 in and all the cooked food had gone and not replaced very little bread, tables not cleared and no cutlery. We were going to dine in the evening but again were told that this was not available because of the larger group booked in. There was a definite shortage of staff with one lady having to cater for the entire restaurant.
