Great location from the train station. But because of this, you will hear trains from your room. The room itself is basic. The view was fantastic. Had a kettle in the room for hot water. The balcony is shared by everyone on that floor. So people can walk by your room. If someone is smoking outside, the smoke smell will come inside if your windows or door are open. There is no air conditioning. The staff is super friendly. We enjoyed the breakfast. Great way to start your day. Just a short 12-15 minute train ride from Zermatt. Easy walk to and from the train station. The hotel elevator is a plus.
We didn’t like the shared balcony and the trains going by made it hard to fall sleep.

The front desk staff was extremely helpful with directions and booking our trip to the Matterhorn. Breakfast was very good. It was an easy 5 minute walk to the train station to head to Zermatt.
Trains started up very early and ran until late at night. We had the windows open as it was warm in the room so it was pretty loud.
