- at check in, room was not available yet, it would be another 3 hours we were told. Fine with me initially, as we were indeed early. But then the other receptionist said something in Italian, and suddenly the room was ready…? - the furniture in the room has recently been updated however that doesn’t disguise that the property itself and facilities are very dated. The mirror in the bathroom for example was heavily tarnished - the food (had dinner one evening, and breakfast) is below average, unexpected for a 4-star hotel - the waiters in the restaurant seem uninterested and unprofessional (a glass of wine was forgotten, even after a reminder. At the end of the dinner still no wine but it was on the bill. The correction of the bill was then not done right).

Clean, modern hotel with good facilities and helpful staff. Surprisingly good evening meal and good breakfast.

Convenient. Walking distance to the entrance to the Valley of the Temples. It's out of town, but there were a few restaurants within walking distance.

We weren't that keen on the nearest restaurant which was recommended to us on the first night, but we found an excellent restaurant by walking a bit further.

A little bit dated deco

The Colleverde Hotel was reasonably convenient to the Valley of the Temples by taxi. The room was small but clean and the bathroom had a large shower and the usual towels. The restaurant was large, to cope with tour groups, and there were nice gardens. A large comforatable lounge was available. The evening meal was adequate, rather than outstanding. The breakfast was satisfactory with something for everyone. This hotel was fine for a one night stop over.

The room only had one chair, which was not adequate for two guests. There were small details which could be improved. The same tongs were provided to pick up both the sliced ham and sliced cheeses. This was not a problem unless this affects religious observances or food allergies.

I love the Mediterranean decor of colorful ceramics, the inviting comfortable chairs and sofas arranged in intimate conversational groupings. It's close to the city centre and the eastern entrance to the archeological park. The sunroom dining room overlooking the gardens with a view of the temples is spectacular. There is a large gazebo connected to separate little patios. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet offers a generous selection and variety of food.

The bed was too firm for us so we didn't sleep as well as we would have liked. Parking lot is small and not easy to maneuver since it's on a steep hill.

The location is the main selling point. There is a lovely garden and outdoor area from where you can see the Temples and the sea. The staff is very courteous. Big shower

It's a shame that the restaurant is closed and they only offer salads and a few basic meals. The air con is more of an old vent as this is a hotel that was a 4 star 20 years ago and hasn't been modernised since.

The room was comfortable, breakfast was plentiful and varied, and the back garden is beautiful with splendid vistas. The two meals we had there were very satisfactory. The staff was correct and helpful. It was a very pleasant stay. As an animal lover, I personally appreciated the fact that several well-fed and friendly cats roamed the garden freely, and no attempt was made to shoo them away. This may not be to every client's liking, but it was lovely for me!

We had understood the hotel was closer to the Valley of the Temples, just a few minutes walk. This was not quite true. Still, it wasn't far but we decided to drive and "save our legs" for the visit to theValley (we're not getting any younger and it was very hot).
