Spa and lovely food

Beautiful location and stunning grounds. The charming historic building adds plenty of character and is a real highlight. The breakfast was exceptional.
Unfortunately, the spa doesn’t quite compare with other five-star hotel spas. In my experience, Woodland Spa, Lodore Falls and Aqua Sana are all considerably more luxurious and offer a much higher standard.
The own-label shampoo and conditioner were, quite frankly, among the worst products I have ever experienced. I would strongly recommend bringing your own, as the products left my hair feeling extremely dry, brittle and frizzy.
The service for alcoholic beverages was also disappointingly slow. On two separate occasions, there were mistakes with the drinks when they were delivered, which further detracted from the overall experience.
