The location was perfect for the castle and cathedral, two minutes either way. Secure carpark across the road was a bonus. Lovely clean hotel and rooms. Breakfast was very good with fresh cooked food. The walk down the steep hill to the water front took around 15 minutes, although you need to be prepared for the walk back up the steep hill.
Entrance to the hotel leads you into the bar area, which is open to the public and can get very busy, so when checking in or out, depending on the time of day can be a push through the crowd.

The property was in walking distance for the cathedral and the castle. You could hear the church bells but it did not disturb you. Breakfast was the best we have had when stopping anywhere. It was hot and you had plenty. The whole place was lovely and clean and the staff where very friendly, the room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom was great too

Great location for exploring the upper Lincoln area around the Cathedral and Castle and still accessible via steep hill to the town centre.
Nice room with seating area and large bathroom.
Liked the fact that the shower although over the bath had handrails and a mat to prevent slipping.
Nice breakfast.
Restaurant on site has very nice menu although were out of the initial meal I ordered.
Convenient parking close by.
Room was by the road so we did experience some noise although it wasn't excessive.

Location
Hotel very tired, bedroom dull, too large and impersonal.
On top of the overly expensive stay, breakfast was extra, I left a phone charger behind, and had to pay postage to get it back. TV in room did not work, lighting was not fully working.
