What a surprise! I've stayed in BandBs in Torquay and they have been adequate. Glendower, however, was exceptional on every level. Welcoming staff helped me park and took my case up to my room. The refreshments in the room were top quality and included fresh milk in a thermos. The bathroom was sparkling clean, the towels soft. The breakfast was delicious. This seemed to be a very lovely couple doing up an old tired establishment and making it shine again. Don't be put off by the entrance - they haven't brought that up to the same standard - yet!
Nothing - the carpets are due for renewal to fit in with the new decoration - but all in good time. They'd clearly been shampooed. The whole place was so well kept
