Breakfast was fantastic. Great choice of foods, cerials and catered for vegans.
The room was beyond expectations. Myself and my wife couldn't fault anything realistically.
All of the staff were courteous and very polite at all times.ĺ
Only faults we found were
1) that a part of the bath/shower taps was missing.
2) a deep dark chip in the bath enamel (old).
3) as I'm disabled I discovered that I couldn't reach the hotels shampoo and body wash bottles/dispensers, when seated in the bath (difficulty standing up unaided).
The above are only minor grumbles and wouldn't stop us going there again in the future.
Overall it was hard to highlight any major issues or concerns

Location was great, I feel like the hotel as lost it’s soul though, I stayed in this hotel in August 2000 as an 11 year old boy and remember it being vibrant, packed and joyous. It felt like it’s soul as been taken
I booked in 8 days in advanced, 7 days out I messaged via booking.com and was told I could have early check in at a cost, I agreed that this would be fine only to turn and bluntly told no nothing could be promised, even though I’d been told that I could - nearly scuppered plans as I was attending a wedding in the afternoon, the lady behind reception did resolve it quite quickly but not what you needed after being told you could an then after a 5 hour being told it isn’t possible
