The Parsonage Hotel & Spa

Convenient location. Rooms clean and serviceable if a little tired. Despite wedding party happening our room was very quiet which was appreciated.

Bathroom could do with a bit of renovation - quite a few cracked tiles etc. Breakfast was very busy due to coach party staying and a wedding - if we had known about this we would have tried to come in before or after the main rush. Lots of options running out quickly so had to keep waiting (although staff did replace as quickly as they could).

Everything was perfect for us. The staff were so friendly and efficient. The bedroom was very comfortable. Breakfast was first class. The Spa was great with plenty to do. The food at the fat Bishop was excellent.

Room was a lovely size Spa was well maintained and good choice of facilities there Meal in the fat abbot was tasty and good value Location of the hotel for visiting York is excellent

Staff attitude was hit and miss, felt like feedback was not listened too If you end up in the separate breakfast room then service is poor and it is a long way to the breakfast buffet. Food is cold by the time you get back to your table Breakfast buffet area is small for number of guests and also not kept well topped up There was a lack of plug sockets in the room, especially within reach of a mirror. Bath would not drain unless plug removed Room was not cleaned until between 3pm and 4pm
