Stanton Manor Hotel

Lovely hotel, out in the countryside, did not need to go out for dinner, as the menu was what you would expect in a bar/restaurant. Food was nice quality. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Unfortunately the kitchen had an electrical fault overnight, so we could not have breakfast, the staff recommended Malmsbury. We found Michael the butcher, who had a cafe, and cooked us a good breakfast. Hope the hotel was back to using its kitchen by lunchtime. one downside was the M4 noise in the background, it may of been the way the wind was blowing

Lovely , homely, characterful. We arrived very late after Heathrow issues, helpful can-do staff sorted key out for us. Lovely cosy well appointed bedroom. Tasty breakfast with attentive well mannered staff. The perfect antidote to Heathrow and little but of class on the way back West.

Staff and cleanliness were excellent and the location beautiful. A bit of noise from the M4 but to be expected as so conveniently close. Good wine and friendly helpful staff.

The restaurant menu was not as sent to me when I booked for 6 people to celebrate my mother’s 90th birthday. In fact it was very disappointing and smaller choice some of the orders were not quite right and 4 of my guests said the soup was tasteless. Need to improve on the menu and ensure orders are correct. Breakfast was only cold as there was a power failure in the kitchen, however we preferred just cereal fruit and yogurt which we were offered as a cheaper option instead and feel this as an alternative to those who do not want a cooked breakfast.
