The hotel itself and the location were great. The breakfast was lovely with a good selection for everyone, including those with dietary requirements.

We had booked two rooms and noted that I was travelling with my mother, an electric wheelchair user, who requires a hoist. This means we need a more spacious room. They had put us in one room with two camp beds - I had to rearrange the room, fold up the camp beds to get her in and out of bed and despite talking to the woman on reception, they said that there was nothing they could do and to speak to Booking.com. My 10 year old daughter was unable to go to sleep until I had finished sorting out my mum as her bed was folded up. It was awful, stressful and I had very little sleep ahead of a long day's driving.

From the moment we arrived in Honningsvag we knew it would be an amazing place to visit. The reasons we were there were twofold. To visit Nordkapp and a place to stay before we joined our cruise. We chose the Scandic Bryggen and from the moment we arrived we were very pleasantly impressed. The staff are all so cheerful and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble. They dont try to push or upsell anything. Any questions were answered in depth and with no bias towards the property which seems to be getting rarer these days. The room was spacious with all the expected amenities. The only thing missing was a kettle. We later learned that they were available on request at the reception. The bed was lovely and comfortable. The bathroom was very smart with underfloor heating. The view was fantastic. I honestly can't find a negative word about the room. Breakfast was simply delicious. A wide choice of cooked and cold food. Sweets and bread. I have seen many reviews recommending the breakfast and I must also join them in my high praise. Also if as us you have to check out before breakfast you will receive a very generous breakfast box. Just make sure you preorder this when you check in. I cant not praise the Scandic Bryggen enough. From our first to last moment with them it was a pleasure for us.

To be honest there only thing I could find fault with is the fact there is no kettle in the room but in hindsight coffee and hot drinks are offered in the reception free of charge. Maybe it's an eco move to reduce use of electricity. On our final evening the drinks machine had issues and we were immediately given a kettle. Absolutely no other negatives. A fantastic stay at a fantastic hotel. Thank you Scandic Bryggen. We shall return one day.

I really enjoyed my stay at Scandic Bryggen. The hotel is located right in the harbour, a view of which we could also enjoy through a huge window in our room. The room was very nicely furnished, with a comfy armchair and a bed with big pillows and a warm duvet. The personnel was very friendly too - they helped us to prepare breakfast boxes when we needed to leave early in the morning for a ferry. The hotel is managed in a sustainable way and I could definitely feel it - a big plus from me!

There is nothing to complain about, but a kettle would be handy, to enjoy the nice view with a cup of tea in hands :)
