It was in a good location for visiting Athlone. The room was clean and bright. Bed was comfortable. The lounge and bar areas of the hotel were modern and spacious. It was definitely a popular venue for weddings as it was right on the river side.
There was no air conditioning but we did get a small fan when we asked. It was very expensive for the facilities really as the rooms felt a bit dated and could do with modernising a bit more.

The location was great and the outlook was beautiful. Breakfast was lovely and the staff were very friendly.
Our room had obviously has smokers in it in the past, so it was unfortunately a little smelly

The waiting staff were extremely helpful and courteous. The location is excellent.
The room was spacious however the decor was shabby. The rooms could do with a coat of paint and the furniture with some french polish or something to freshen it up. The TV was useless and at 4 in the morning it started to flash on & off. It wasn't good for me as I suffer from Migraine and hence started my day with a headache. The tap in the ensuite wash basin is loose and needs attention.
