Great location, friendly staff, comfortable accommodation.
The only negative comment I have is that my towel was stained, but they promptly changed it after I requested.

A solid Scandic Hotel, a bit more than 10 minutes by foot from the railway station. Tram, bus and metro stops are next to the hotel. The rooms are not too spacious but are outfitted in a nice Scandinavian design. As you can expect from Scandic, the breakfast buffet offers lots of options. The breakfast room tends to fill at times in the morning but there were always a few seats left.
The operating hours of the Sauna are 18:00-21:00 only. Most people will want to go to dinner during that time which renders this service not very useful.
I would appreciate to have an in-room safe in a hotel in a city.

I enjoyed Scandic Hakaniemi because of its technology (strong WiFi, abundant power points, online information). The hotel offered exceptional sleep comfort (good mattress, effective soundproofing proofing, nice linens). It provides great local amenities (good transport links, staff who know Helsinki, notable nearby markets/retail).

Location was great. Close to a nice location and with a lot of eateries around. Convenient to walk to most of the touristy places. Breakfast was alright.
Considering it's a 4 star rating, I don't think it's worth. No bathroom slippers, no tea-coffee machine in the room. Basic features are not great.
