Hôtel Royal - Centre Comédie

Very easy to find. Staff very lhelpful. Complimentary afternoon tea and cakes is a nice touch.

This hotel has both charm and comfort. It’s in a great location with convenient access to trams and the train station. We enjoyed the afternoon tea. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.

It got a little noisy at night but it unreasonably so. It was worth it to be in this great location.

We were given room 14 on the ground floor. The room appeared perfect. Then at 0300 every morning there was a disturbance outside which transpires to be refuge collection. There were huge waste bins in the road and were emptied at this time. They are close to the hotel and very noisy. I was woken each morning by this noise. It seemed the hotel was not at capacity when we arrived and I feel staying 4 nights out room should not have been in this location. A small observation is that there is also a street light above the window. The blackout blinds are well made but do not prevent the light entering the room at the sides. This could be overcome with a slight increase in the size of the blinds. I feel that the first issue is far more of a concern.
