We booked the Fitzwilliam Suite, which was much larger than expected. Beds were very comfortable, large bedrooms and nicely decorated. Kitchen was well appointed. Lovely views from the living area. We needed an earlier check in as we were going to a wedding and the hotel were very amenable. Yvonne on reception was extremely helpful with sourcing taxis and showing us around.

Lovely location by Rutland water, walks from the shore to the small marina straight from the hotel. Friendly welcome from the staff. Pleasant room, all clean and modern style.
The actual accommodation was in a 2 storey block behind the main hotel and to be honest it felt like we were in university halls with people clomping up the stairs, doors slamming , pumps making noise every 20 minutes and, yes a fire alarm at 11pm, no restful sleep that night.
The evening food was ok but the hot breakfast buffet was left too long so very dry bacon , rubbery egg etc.
The pool was very shallow, not that easy to swim in. The steam room was nice and hot if a little small. Clean changing facilities.
