Lovely reception and very friendly receptionist. Bar and restaurant t comfortable and breakfast amazing

Bits if it are a bit run down. It is a very old building and probably difficult to maintain. Bedrooms a good size and perfect toy equipped. You could hear noise however

Room was warm, comfortable and clean with good lighting. Bathroom was clean with plenty of hot water, towels etc.

Bathroom a bit dated with showr over bath. the bed could have been more comfortable.

The location is great and the rooms are comfortable. The breakfast staff are very polite.. The breakfast buffet is a typical English breakfast.

Understandable the hotel has been around since the 1700 with many renovations over the years so you would think there would be mini fridges in the rooms by now. There are kettles and ironing board but still no fridges. Breakfast could do with some variety. There is yogurt but fresh fruit for the yogurt vs syrup can fruit offered would be nice.

Location suited my needs

Needs a refurbishment and a deep clean. More choice for continental breakfast to suit vegetarians
