Useful location not too far away from the train station in a quiet corner of Meppel but still very central.
Spacious room with a large double bed. Plenty of space to leave luggage and hang clothes.
Breakfast was pretty decent, enough food and choice.
Check in and check out was very straightforward. Could leave my luggage for a couple of hours whilst I did a bit of sightseeing.
The edge of the bathtub is very high which made it not so easy to enter and leave the shower.

Well appointed room and good breakfast.
Heating wasn't on, with outside temperatures in single figures!

Friendly staff, lovely rooms, nice quiet location. Our dogs could stay with us. Walking distance to the main town.
Water pressure quite bad, so difficult to take a nice shower. Windows were hard to open, so difficult to air our room.

Large room. Outdoor patio space. Secure place to store bikes.
We didn’t like that there was no reception and no staff on site. It felt more like a youth hostel than a hotel. We were woken up by other residents who kept opening and shutting their door and talking in the hallway. It was tricky to find.
