Bandos Maldives

What an amazing place Bandos is. We absolutely loved our holiday there, staying in a Premium Beach Villa which was very luxurious and right on the beach. The outdoor bathroom is beautiful and so well appointed - just loved having a shower underneath the coconut palms. The housekeeping staff are great and they change the towels twice a day - we always had enough towels - thankyou! The staff in general are so friendly and helpful and the waiting staff in the restaurant outstanding. The food was delicious with a huge selection every day - a highlight of the trip. Being vegetarian/pescatarian there was plenty of food on offer too. We are keen snorkellers and the house reef did not disappoint. We snorkelled using the current to drift us from the dive shop area down towards the marina each day, seeing an amazing array of sea life. This is my 4th trip to the Maldives, going to different islands each time and am happy to say the sea life at Bandos is outstanding. On one of the days we took a boat trip to see the nurse sharks and rays which was fantastic. We were also given a tour of the island on the electric cart by a very friendly member of staff - showing us behind the scenes kitchen gardens which was very interesting. We cannot wait to visit Bandos again!

Our 3rd trip to Bandos, and we just keep coming back! We’ve stayed at other resorts across the Maldives, but Bandos honestly feels like home to us now. It’s got such an easygoing, cozy vibe, and it feels like they manage to level up their service every single year. Our stay in August 2026 was just perfect across the board. The rooms are all set in great spots, the food is top-notch, and the whole team makes you feel like family. Big shoutouts to: The Gallery Restaurant crew: Incredible food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner every single day. The Dive Centre: Especially Mohamed Amar - thank you so much for the lessons and for genuinely getting us hooked on the underwater world! The fishing boat captain & crew: Such a fun trip, and a lady in our group even managed to reel in a shark (which went straight back into the ocean, of course). The little things: Housekeeping coming by twice a day, fresh water restocked daily, and a great AC gym to work off the buffet meals. Can’t wait to be back again. Huge thanks to everyone at Bandos for another unforgettable holiday!

Just one tiny note for improvement: it would be great to have clearer signs for designated smoking areas around the bins so all guests are on the same page. A few people were smoking on the beach and leaving cigarette butts right in the sand, which was really sad to see in such a pristine, beautiful place.

Easy to access from the airport. The arrival was fast. The hotel is well renovated and clean. The snorkel is good. I asked for early check in, they didn't provide it. Same with the late check out, they didn't gave any solution and you have to pay if you want to eat or drink until you go to airport. Despite of being very big, we didn't find queues of people at the buffet

Is not that I didn't like it, is more that the price is not worth what you receive. The hotel is nice, well renovated. The water villa is not what we expected. The room is big and confortable, but there is no privacy because people from everywhere can swimm in front of you and you can have the bad luck of having a family yelling just in the next villa...Plains and boats ar passing all the time making too much noise. When you call to the room service asking for ice, they reply like if they were annoyed. The replacement of the minibar was missing and I had to complain twice. We have to claim clean beach/pool towels and the cleaner forgot a spray with the mop in our terrace. When you pay for the best accommodation in the place and the most expensive, you spect everything perfect.The buffet lacked variety with all inclusive you can't have any other option. We paid for a sunset water villa with pool but the sunset was not there, it was on the right side...
