Dar Sohane is perfectly located off some windy streets from the main square making it close to all the main sites whilst also being a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the medina. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated and a cool escape from the heat. The inner courtyard and terrace were the perfect place to rest and relax after a busy day. In addition, the hospitality of our hosts was exceptional. I celebrated my jetsam during our stay and they made the most beautiful cake as a surprise. It was such a lovely, personal touch. My husband then became ill on our last day and they very kindly let us extend our check out and arranged our transfer to our next location. We couldn’t be more grateful for their generous hospitality.

Very serene and traditional. A very nice welcome for a first time in Morocco 😇

It’s very difficult to get there without direct from people on the street. It’s was a labyrinth 😅

Riad accogliente e pulitissimo. Il personale è molto disponibile e ci ha fornito aiuto per ogni necessità.

Great location in the Medina, close to the square but not too close so it was quiet and down a safe feeling side alley. The inside of the Riad was beautiful and the room itself was nice and a good size. The staff was nice and the breakfast was good and they accommodated our schedule and provided our favorite baghrir pancakes :)

Unfortunately for the price / value it was a bit disappointing. First thing, we had a very awkward situation with the shuttle porter that demanded more tip - such that Samir had to give him extra!! We didn't pay a bunch of money for this Riad, plus pay for the shuttle to have attitude from the porter that was already getting paid. The bed was extremely hard and we didn't sleep well the entire time! While the breakfast was good, I disagree with booking.com calling it "excellent", we had better in Chefchauen (more items). The toilet was installed way too high in the air and your feet couldn't even touch the ground, very weird. Also it dripped constantly which was annoying at night. The bathroom mirror was installed too low and we had to crouch to use it. The heat in our room didn't work, there wasn't a night light so it was extremely dark. The rooftop was disappointing, we never enjoyed it because it was just setup a bit weird.
