Being a motor lodge, I had a ground floor room, so it was convenient not to have to carry bags up and down stairs. The room also had two recliner chairs which made the room feel homier.
The room was wheelchair accessible, so the shower was just curtains with a drain in the floor. There wasn't any shelf to put your shampoo or soap, so I had to basically cross the room to grab the things I needed.

We liked the location and the reception staff.
Perhaps a hair dryer would be useful .We had 2 rooms and in 1 room there was no electric blanket but still warm enough.

(+) There is ample parking. (+) It's a two story motor lodge, the staff were kind enough to upgrade our room on the ground floor. (+) It's relatively clean, spacious, and comfortable for a few nights in Rotorua. (+) Location of the mall is literally walkable across the road - Chemist Warehouse, gas, PakNSave, etc.
Nothing really - it's a Motor Lodge, not a resort or hotel, so adjust your expectations. My only concern was safety - the compound is rather open, so keep valuables out of sight, make sure to lock your doors and car. Nothing happened, but good to be vigilant.
