Aylestone Court is like staying in a history book, the history of the place oozes from every corner. Jon the owner is doing it up room by room. It looks like a huge undertaking but he’s getting there. I felt like I’d fallen from the pages of Jane Austin novel and was just missing my empire line gown! 😁
If I were to make any suggestions, it would be little things like cleaning the windows, or purchasing higher end toiletries. Opening the bar slightly later and replacing some of the squeaky stairs. I think more could be made of its history, maybe produce a pamphlet or have a book made for reception?

The location, the staff were excellent very helpful & obliging. Lovely hotel. It will be a fantastic place to stay when renovations are completed. We enjoyed our stay very much thanks to the amazing staff & lovely quaint hotel.
As the hotel was under renovation we accepted things were needed to change such as the shower in our room although we were able to use the shower.

Breakfast
The property itself has no doubt seen better days with some work required and the room was scruffy and in need of a refurb. Couldn't sleep a wink because of the noise from traffic on the main road. Not a fan of duvet's either, way too hot in the summer.
