The hotel is gorgeous with a pool side view of lion rock. The room was large and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful, they made us feel very welcome. The grounds are lovely full of lush greenery, birds, and of course monkeys. The breakfast buffet was massive and delicious with a wide variety. It's well located a short walk into town and a few minutes in a tuktuk or car to local sites.
I'm a frost monster so the aircon could have been more powerful but there was a large ceiling fan as well so it was still very comfortable.

Great view of Sigiriya Rock from the pool, breakfast was amazing, staff are very friendly and even lay the towel out for you by the pool. The service was outstanding. We walked up Sigiriya Rock at sunrise and Pidurangala rock at sunset. The day spa was amazing. The room was very relaxing. The TV was turned in to the documentary channel as we walked in you to the room. I did not change this and fell asleep listening to documentaries from all over the world, best sleep ever.
I’m an Australian and love coffee, coffee was not that great.

the pool was gorgeous with an amazing view of Sigiriya Rock!
the AC in the room didn't work that well but we were comfortable enough. the food was very ethnic and had a hard time eating. I did like the egg hoppers at breakfast though. the coffee was horrid:(
