Beautiful setting overlooking the vineyard and citrus farm. We had the family suite which worked very well for us. The Manor House looked fabulous so would love to stay there next

it’s is a beautiful wine estate with plenty of potential

no loadshedding accommodations. we ate our dinner in complete darkness with only our cell phone lights to see what we were eating. the pump that supplied our room with water blew when the power came back on so we were move clear across the estate to a different guest house that needed a bit of cleaning before anyone should have been allowed to stay there. the staff was friendly but you could tell they were defeated by the lack of any accommodations for loadshedding. we found out the owner only visits from France a couple times a year so I’m sure he has no clue and doesn’t care about what pressures he has put his staff under. plus they should really pick a lane and either be a winery with tasting room or a b&b. we left 2 days early and only stayed one night. until they get some sort of solar or generators or pick a lane I would not recommend staying here!

Food and wine were very good and staff could not have been any better

Really appreciated the extra mile the tasting room manager went for my team and I. I cant recall if its Dyllan or Darren, nonetheless, he just started there 1 month ago and really made every effort to ensure a seamless and comfortable stay for us. Would definitely stay there again!

Location and friendly staff.

We paid R4000 for a family room that did not resemble the website pictures. I expected a modern place. Except for the beautiful bathroom, the rest needs a serious upgrade and maintenance. I can expand if you need. I asked for a quiet place, but I received the room closest to the reception. The water pipe runs through our main bedroom and was noisy when other rooms use water. Loadshedding was for 8 hours ( on and off ) during our 20 hour stay, which also meant no showering was possible. Lady on duty( Cathy)received my complaints, promised to discuss with manager( Cisca) but no response to date from anybody. I cannot get hold of them via phone or email. We were told a few days before our stay that there is no water in the taps without electricity. Load-shedding affects us all and is here to stay. I feel that they should make a plan…We could not wash our hands/ shower prior to a wedding we had to attend. Perhaps sanitiser/wipes should be placed in the rooms? We were charged R600-00 one way taxi fee (2km) from Kanonkop wine estate to Marianne. The service at breakfast was poor.

We really enjoyed our stay, had the whole house to ourselves and loved the decor. Breakfast was amazing, staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

Absolutely stunning place to stay. The staff were very welcoming, the room sublime and the view were amazing over the vineyards. The wine tastings, dinner and breakfast were all great too, I can't wait to go back there again as felt like a little piece of heaven :)
