Vårt rum låg direkt vid matsalen och det hördes väldigt väl när frukosten drog igång.

Le côté petite structure de cet établissement et le caractère ancien de la bâtisse, et enfin la disponibilité de Joan toujours à pieds d'oeuvre dans la maison. Petit déjeuner authentique

La taille de la salle d'eau. Une petite rénovation à mon avis serait nécessaire pour les rendre plus agréable. Dommage également qu'il y ait des chiens (certes âgés) qui aboient la nuit dans un enclos du mas.

Our room was huge with a comfortable bed. Good shower with lots of clean towels. Nice spacious pool. Fan provided in the room which was welcome as it was very hot.

The host has very limited English and was reserved and not particularly welcoming. This was our second visit here but probably we wouldn’t stay again. It is very rural, not close to amenities and many areas both inside and out of the house are badly neglected and in need of refreshing/cleaning. Overall ok for two nights.

It was quiet, the room was airy and the bed comfortable. The house was a refurbished farm house, quite old with some interesting features and a couple of grandfather clocks. The floor was cobbled stones and very uneven to walk on. The pool was good. There was a lovely playhouse inside the house for the kids and a rather rickety old swing in the garden.There were 4 rescue dogs living outside. There was a goat farm outside with a herd of beautiful black goats. A shop in the house next door sold goat cheese, yoghourt and other organic produce and wines, the woman who owned it had tables outside where we could eat salamies, cheese and drink her local wine and look at the goats at sunset. The dinner we had in the hotel was good, everything was freshly cooked. It had to be ordered in the morning at breakfast so if you arrive later in the day you would need to order ahead. There is not much else locally unless you drive for 20-30 minutes.

The host was not very welcoming or forthcoming about how he ran things so we had to find out gradually. He was only around when cooking to ask questions. For example, we did not know what was on offer for breakfast other than what was laid out, ie muffins & fruit until we saw what other guests were eating, he did not speak to us to offer anything. Dinner was at 9pm so if you had children needing to eat earlier it was necessary to get them food from the supermarket in the village. The host seemed not to be happy about us doing that and there was no fridge to keep anything cold, with the exception of a tiny one in the dining area from which one could buy water and beer.
