Seamill Hydro Hotel

The restaurant was fantastic. Couldn't fault the food, drink or staff, and when asked if the air con could be turned off it was done so right away. Very comfortable room, despite the dated decor (which we thought added to the charm). Swimming pool was maybe a bit cold, but we were only in there briefly - will definitely return for the upgraded gym.

We had a large, well-appointed room. We could see the sea, although the room was a courtyard one. The pool was lovely. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The dining room had lovely views of the Firth of Clyde.and the food was good.

The bed felt like sleeping on an ironing board! Very hard and only a small double. No tissues in the room and the tv was not 'smart'. Drinks at the bar were unreasonably expensive.

Super friendly and helpful staff, location, and facilities. The breakfast selection was quite nice, amazing restaurant and service.

Honestly I am so disappointed that even with all the great things I mentioned above, my holiday was ruined by the room we got - it overlooked the restaurant’s ventilation outlet. When the window was open, there was a very loud noise from the ventilation system, as well as a strong smell from the restaurant. As a result, it was impossible to sleep with the window open until they turned it off late at night, and the room became very stuffy and uncomfortable. We also found it difficult to spend time in the room during the day because of the lack of fresh air. This significantly affected our stay and is something we believe the hotel should address, but providing two fans in the room is not the answer. I don't think this room should be offered to guests at all. The 'No Sea View' is an understatement. I admit i didn't speak with reception about it but honestly as new parents with lack of sleep the only thing we wanted during our stay was to get a little bit of rest. And even if we got another room, moving all the baby stuff and our things from one room to another was not something I would have been excited about.
