This was my first ryokan experience ever and it was godly. The staff was extremely helpful with everything regarding Kinosaki Onsen - with booking you get the onsen pass allowing you to try every active onsen in town (also shuttle bus service is provided. Both breakfast and dinner were amazing - great traditional Japanese food, which only added to the experience. You are able to rent out yokatas for free too. The ryokan itself offers a built -in onsen, which is perfect for starting (or ending) your day. Will definetely visit again!

Felt completely indulged from the moment we stepped over the threshold of this gorgeous place. The hotel's own Onsen was better than most of the public ones in my opinion, the cold plunge pool was great as the hot pools are very, very hot. We also used the free massage chairs and foot massage machines in the hotel a lot as we were recovering from a lot of temple trekking. The breakfast was like a banquet and the cold water in the room was very useful. The short free bus transit into town was also really handy as although it isn't far, walking in the wooden shoes is an acquired skill! Staff were very helpful and friendly. I genuinely didn't want to leave.

It would be great if the hotel shuttle ran a little later to allow more time to explore the town and the onsens.
